High-end brushless motor
Intelligent mapping and route planning
Automatic recharge and resume
12 high-precision control sensors

Intelligent mapping and route planning

The new LDS Laser Navigation System works with an upgraded SLAM algorithm for real-time mapping, faster speed, higher accuracy and longer scanning range. The robot smartly deals with complicated surroundings and scans the entire floor meticulously.

Professional mopping path design

The robot comes with a thoughtfully designed cleaning path for the sweeping and mopping mode created for any home. It can simulate the manual mopping effect with dual direction repeated wiping for an intense deep clean of stains on floor.

High-precision sensors

The 12 sets of high-precision sensors help in an accurate depiction of the surroundings. Powered by an anti-collision and anti-drop sensor, the device makes accurate navigation, crosses obstacles up to 2cm height, avoids any fall from the staircase and senses the surrounding environment intelligently.

Smart electronically controlled water tank

Engineered with an electronically controlled pump, it comes with 3 gears of water dispensing modes and water-clogging prevention mechanism. Choose modes based on the intensity of cleaning and the type of the floor you want to clean.

Dynamic path planning

Dynamic path planning helps in following different paths for different modes. Also, the device can automatically go to its charging point and resume cleaning from the breakpoint, if it ever runs out of battery midway.

  • This or Xiaomi Mi 1C! What do you guys recommend?

    • +1

This, I have the 1C and it has a very small battery so not suited for big homes. Also laser navigation in this one would be more precise. Lastly the back and forth mopping action would clean better.

      • Thanks for the feedback! I got 1C on back order but based feedback I see on other threads might cancel it.

    • Also curious about which vac + mop xiaomi is the go.
This one vs Mi 1c vs Dreame F9 vs Dreame D9 vs ??

I'm personally looking for a D9 for Black Friday.

      • which one you decided ? which is best for 90% carpeted apartment ?

        • I ordered the $400 Dreame D9 from Kogan, which has just been delayed to Feb 2021. So have cancelled and am now looking for an alternative.
I have almost 0% carpet so am not concerned with carpet performance.

  • +2

Very tempted. Though black Friday sales are so close and a discounted D9 would be awesome.

  • Is this the second/update version of the Xiaomi Mi Robot 1st?

    • Technically yes,

It has better Mapping functionality on the app including the ability to add no go zones.

      Plus the Mop function.

The rest is virtually the same.

  • this, D9 or Viomi V2 Pro?

    so many options..

    • There's the Dreame F9 as well.

Who can give their recommendations? This, Dreame F9 and Viomi V2 Pro all are in the similar price bracket. Makes it so difficult to decide!

Why does Xiaomi make 50 different vaccums under like 5 different brands?

    • They use their customers as R&D

  • The 2in1 bin/tank… does that mean it can sweep and mop without changing anything over? I love the model I have, but have never used the mop because of the switching over.. this would be amazing!

  • @Gmetal

Why does Xiaomi make 50 different vaccums under like 5 different brands?

it's so damn confusing - half might be the same under the hood.

Is there a guide? Roborock was being handled by Xiaomi, and I swear some of the vacuums are the same.

    Can anyone clarify?

  • +1

It's kinda like a developer/publisher relationship with brands like Roborock and Dreame for Xiaomi.

  • This one or irobot roomba e5?

  • Uses of the first gen Xiaomi Mi Robot - are you able to exclude a specific area/zone in the app mapping to prevent the robot going there? I have a thick rug in the centre of the living room which I feel is going to cause constant issues :(

I know the Mop-P has this ability, but I don't need/want the mopping feature so a bit torn…

    • +1

No you can't exclude areas on the Mi Robot 1st Gen.

I was in the same boat hence why I bought the Mop-P. I've had it for a few months and haven't used the mop at all.

  • Can't see why not. My friend has been recommending this so long. Waited for the discount like this!

  • has anyone purchased from Gshopper ?
their facebook reviews seem quite bad (albeit only 2 reviews)

    • +1

I purchased this vacuum from the last deal for $399 from them. Haven't had any issues so I haven't had to deal with them directly.

  • Can someone post a link if I needed consumables/replacements for brushes filters etc?
