Not negging this deal but wanted to share a recent experience.

Bought a kitchen item in August, and tracked the transaction (did the usual empty shopping cart, activate SB and add the item to cart).

Just this week I discovered that the cashback failed and upon contacting their customer support, they said kitchen was not eligible in August. It even tracked the 6% cashback amount in my account, which I promptly brought up to them.
Thankfully, I found the post here where kitchen was listed. Took a bit of convincing and they eventually processed it out of goodwill.

ShopBack is generally fine so take it as you will.

I suspect that it could have been how Amazon processes payment sometime after the purchase and I do recall the charge coming in a week or 2 after. This is just my suspicion.

That’s what happened to be too - rejected because amazon quickly switched on and off categories being eligible

I went through something similar a few weeks ago.

A good thing I have little else to do because I can't imagine any sane person would spend as much time as I have digging through old posts looking for historical cashback rates just for the sake of a few dollars.

    • You can consider yourself lucky if that happens to be the only problem https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/568593

      • Well, yeah. Time to change my identity.

  • Is it just me but I am seeing 0% on both CR and SB for this:
Health, Household Products & Personal Care (Includes Electronic Personal Care, Laundry, Supplement, Cleaning Supplies)

    • I got the same (as per my snip above)…seems they removed those couple of categories since posting.

  • Automotive still showing as 0% on both.
Electronics & Personal computing shows as 4% on cashrewards

    • Does accessories for computers counts towards the 4%?

  • Tools is still 0%

  • It's been reverted back to original

    • Yeh, they usually only last for the day they are posted.

  • No video games :(
