Seems like a very bad deal, given that they were offering 120gb for $120 only 4 days ago?! Lol

    • +7

It depends on if you need the extra 60GB Data for ~$21.

      New customers only

    I feel boosted by coles!

    • Also, coles have a really nice app to keep track or top up extras if necessary

      • Boosted further… hope the person who negged my previous comment can neg this too :)

  • Does anyone know when the expiry date usually is (to activate by).

    • Activate within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on a promotion, whichever is earliest.

      • This is sorta right.

Catch Connect and Coles have the same "30 day activation" - however 30 day limit is on "inclusions of any advertised plan".

We activated a 4 month old Catch Connect SIM 4 months after purchase, got the 60Gb etc etc

Note that they have cancelled the option to have international roaming now following other tier 2 providers. It happened after I switched from Boost utilising the last deal. I can see that it will be a pain if you have to travel anywhere and require second factor authentication SMS.

    • So does that mean you can't even get SMS for multifactor authentication (eg. banking) when travelling overseas?
Looks like Boost too no longer supports international roaming for now

      • Are there any reliable sms redirection apps?

        • Not exactly sms redirection but you could use Pushbullet to achieve this.

      • No receiving of SMS it seems. Boost is showing that a "new" version of roaming will launch in mid-2021. Maybe Coles will do the same. Who knows. Perhaps they'll try to scam us to buy roaming for overseas travel even if we just want it to receive texts for 2-factor identification purposes.

anyone who knows if this is eligible for spend xx 4weeks to get 10000points offer?

    • Those offer usually excludes Mobile Recharge/SIM.

    • +1

It worked for me about a month ago. I read the t's and c's and sim cards were not listed as excluded, even though I thought they would be.

      • good to hear that! thanks!

Will the $150 plan (120GB) ever be on offer at $99? I am expecting too much, I know. But if yes, it'd be awesome.

Moved from Aldi to Coles with the last deal identical to this one. No issue with porting the mobile number, took 5 min… Possibility to call France from Oz was the plus. Works ok but the number showed on the receiving side changes all the time and is not a +61 number. Not sure why, maybe because they use some sort of proxy? As a result, the receiver believes it is a scam and does not pick up… There may be a way to fix this, haven't searched yet.

Thanks for comment. We don't pick up calls we don't recognize, so that would be a deal breaker

Just chatted to Coles mobile, this is what they said

".As the SIM card works, and you are able to call france, the problem lies with the person in france and their internet provider"

      • Interesting response from Coles… The call is not going through the internet though, is it?

        • +1

Hi, I did ask if it's voip and they said no. But then who knows…

  • Can we return sim after 25 days and get refund?

    • I think coles not taking any refunds

  • When do we need to activate the SIM by? Is there a date?

  • Does anyone know if we can pay via Coles gift card?

  • Is this mean the whole year you can call and SMS ? I want buy for my dad and he didnt use any data , just call and SMS is fine .

    • Yep. Unlimited calls and SMS within Australia.

  • It says 1 per customer…. Has anyone managed to activate 2 sims under the same name for the same deal?

I have 1 for me, 1 for my son, and they are both under my name currently (with Boost). I want to switch us both over to this deal if possible,

    Anyone with experience?

  • Has anyone tried activating after 30 days successfully?

  • I want to know this too. I bought 1 and forgot that my daughter's prepaid will end in January 2021 not Dec!

    • Well i had a chat with them and they said we recommend activating within 30 days so you don't lose on any inclusions that may have changed.
I said i can see inclusions are same still and they said SIM can be activated later it shoyld jot give any errors but again it is recommended to activate within 30 days.

  • good deal as it covers international calls.
