Pretty cheap for this model, cheaper than previous deals from Microsoft, it has the charging dock which is a nice feature. Though if you don't care about that, may consider the Glorious Model O Wireless as an alternative

Nice find OP, grabbed one. Thank you!

Nice. Don´t really need it so I´m gonna hold til Friday and hope if goes under $130

  • +2

Just paid $169 at MS ! boo

All good will order this and return MS mouse.

    • Surely your return shipping will end up costing you that difference anyway?

      • Nah MS do free returns, but will just decline to accept it which is even easier.

  • This is an extremely good price, a bit salty i got the Naga pro wireless….

Charging docks are a great feature imo dont know why they're not more common. Pet peeve of mine is having a wireless mouse that you have to plug in and charge every couple of days. So it's a wireless mouse that's sometimes wired. A bigger battery will last longer but that makes the mouse too heavy.

    • +3

Because much like wireless charging a phone, you can't use it when docked. At least you can continue to use the mouse when plugged in.
How about taking it up a notch: charging mousepad. I'm using the G Pro and it's charging pad: light, fast, wireless and battery worry-free.

      • I was hoping wireless charging mouse pads would become more mainstream and less expensive but prices are still high.
I like the idea of just dropping my mouse on to a dock at the end of the day. It's quick and simple. It's less of a hassle than plugging in the cable and having a loose cable lying around your desk.

Just be aware bc these charging docks are honestly pretty shitty mine doesn't charge properly not too long after I got it so I'm just using it wired all the time now

          • @Koiden: same problem with mine on this exact model, after about 6 months the dock doesn’t really charge anymore

      @bangmango

Charging docks are a great feature imo dont know why they're not more common.

Because they still require you to not use the mouse while charging.

Proprietary batteries and chargers like those that Razer use are never the solution because the batteries eventually wear out and become impossible to source replacements for a few years after release and/or the charger stops working and similarly becomes impossible to replace. Neither are clunky charging cables that inhibit mouse movement.

A single double AA battery (which is what most wireless Logitech mice used to use and some still do) is the best option, as all you need to do to have a never-ending supply of fully charged batteries is to keep a charger full of Eneloops plugged in next to your PC that you swap your batteries in and out of as they run out. Minimal "downtime", no waiting for charging to complete and no proprietary vendor lock-in nonsense that renders your mouse a paper weight after a few years.

This review for the wired version is a good one.

Size: MouseStyle: Viper - Wired Verified Purchase
When I cut off the cord to make it wireless, didn't work, dont buy this.

    • I've been using the wired one for more than 1 year and it is great for fps games. Super light.

    Got one, thanks mate

  • Fack, missed the Microsoft one so bought the Basilisk for $60 off MS instead.

  • Stupid clarification - So this can be played wireless with wired speeds, and wired if I want to?

  • +2

I've had this mouse for about 8 months, absolutely spot on performance wise and light as, battery seems to last around a week, wish it charged quicker because i keep forgetting to charge it overnight, also i noticed that sometimes it doesn't sit properly on the dock and just doesn't charge, end up wiggling it around till it starts.

    • Same except it got worse for me over time so it got way too annoying to try to make it work

    • exact same with mine, buyers beware

  • Does anyone who also own the g305 and this comment on comfort? I’m thinking about purchasing it due to it being wireless but apparently the viper mini’s size might suit me more, especially coming from g305.

    Hand size : 17.5x9.5
    Grip : Claw / Claw-palm

    • +1

I have the g305 and viper wired version, and the g305 is too small for me, there is a significant size difference between the two imo

I use palm grip and the viper is nicer to use

      • Thx for the feedback. I actually find the g305 to be quite comfortable, looks like the viper might be too big to me :D

        • I have about the same hand size (18x9.5) and similar grip styles and I find G305 quite comfortable as well. I'm grabbing this to try so will let you know how I go.

  • With cashback, it is less than $10 more the Glorious Mouse O wireless (which is still on preorder) so better value as it comes with a charger. Good thing about ordering from Amazon US, as you have a couple of days to cancel if there is further price drop.

Very good deal, get's a +1 from me because it's also truly ambidextrous.

    • Same here. I'm stuck with my G3 and still going strong after 10 years lol

I'm just monitoring this one to see how low it can get before I buy it :D

  • finally got one, thanks op

  • Finally I will put this to fight my G Pro Hero!

  • I really want that Mercury White version…

  • I wasn't too sure about the Microsoft previous deal and I'm also not sure about this one…

I was wondering if these deal's come with a charging dock as well?? On the official Razer site, I think there are separate options for with/without a charging dock

    • On Amazon you can select if you want the Dock or not, but currently the SKU with the dock is significantly cheaper for some reason.

      • Oh wow sorry then haha… I didn't even have a good look at the Amazon link and just wanted to ask in the comments before this deal got too old. I was hoping some people who might have been interested in the Microsoft deal would have known whether it came with a dock or not

        significantly cheaper for some reason.
It really is, and on-top of that, the without dock mouse is significantly more expensive than retail price

    • this one definitely comes with a dock

      • Oh perfect then… For context, I purchased the Microsoft deal and then realised that it was actually possible that you might not receive a dock after checking the Razer Official Website haha :)

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh so tempting

  • +1

Bought the microsoft one for $169, hardly worth waiting weeks to get stock for $13. Looking forward to the mouse !

  • I've just bought this and absolutely hate it. The sensor and buttons are spot on, but due to the ambidextrous design, your pinkly finger has no where to sit and drags along the mousepad if you have even slightly wider hands

  • extremely good price - buy!
