  • I'm about 4 years into my 5 year plan. This is after buying a 2 year plan, so far all good with PureVPN.
I mainly use it on my desktop, it comes with Chrome Extensions so that you can just have the Chrome browser on active VPN while you use Firefox or some other browser that's not connected to PureVPN. Anyhow I've never had any issues with PureVPN nor has there ever been down time where PureVPN was offline. I'm sure it happens but its never happened to me. You can share it with your family/friends as you can have up to 5 multiple connections.

  • I wouldn’t recommend supporting PURE VPN as a company, as they can’t be trusted. 5 years back I purchased a Lifetime Subscription to the service and recently it stopped working. It turns out that after 5 years you need to contact them to renew the Lifetime Subscription. Easy right? No, apparently they don’t offer Lifetime Subscriptions anymore and they are refusing to renew my subscription. They tried to offer my a Lifetime Subscription to VPN Unlimited (ironically since I already had a Lifetime Sub with them too, but didn’t like the product and paid substantially more to get PURE VPN to replace it). Anyway, for the past week I’ve been emailing customer service and it’s obvious no one is taking notice. I think the behaviour of this company is deceptive and fraudulent. I paid for a Lifetime Subscription and that is what I should get. To have them reneg on a contract where their own Terms and Conditions state that they will renew the Subscription free of charge if the customer contacts them after the initial 5 years are up is unacceptable. I actually love this product and it served me well for the 5 years I got to use it. But I recommend OzBargainers are weary to purchase any extended subscriptions because if PURE VPN refuse to honour past agreements, it’s likely to happen again. You are better off spending your money elsewhere, where you will actually get what you paid for.

    • Did you order from stacksocial? If so, then I was in exactly the same boat as you. After about 500 emails, I got store credit from them.

      • Yeah, that’s exactly what happened. I’m still chasing them via email, but not having too much luck. Just really weird. I even tried to negotiate a lesser sub (like an extra 5 years), but they weren’t responsive. Hopefully, if they credit me, I can find some other software worth purchasing. PURE VPN was great, but this experience really tainted it for me. Really disappointing, but I guess there’s not a lot you can really do about it, except to warn everyone you know against trusting a company that pulls this sort of stuff. Hopefully, it’ll hit them on the bottom line and they’ll change the way they treat their customers.

        • I was happy with pure VPN, not stacksocial. The deal here is even cheaper if you use the honey chrome add-on.
Keep at it, you will get store credit if you keep going. Create new support cases as they don't reply to old ones.
