I just bought a lot of stuff with no research… Lets hope this goes well ':)

    • +1

      Me too! ’’:)

    • Haha yep.. hope the sensors work ok on HA with a Conbee…

Wish I jumped on it earlier though, missed out on the smart plugs.

      • +1

My friend who is a HA guru says they do work well with HA/Conbee

  • Is the light full RGB or just shades of white and yellow?

    • Neither, just warm white. I like that.

  • Multipurpose Sensor @ $10 is a bargain. Too bad they don't have the button.

    • I bought the button instore today , but only one left . Worth checking your local store they might have one or two lurking

      • What price were they selling the button at?

        • +1

Button is $8. I only found one also.

      • Would you be able to name the SKU (JB Hifi item identifier) for the button?

      • Yes i'd love a couple of buttons, but they have not been on the JB site for weeks unfortunately.

    • Dammit I missed out on them. Got the door sensors though. Would have liked another motion sensor or two

  • I'm guessing the Samsung SmartThings Multipurpose Sensor would need the SmartThings HUB as well, right?

I have Philips Hue hub and I don't want to have multiple hubs around the house.

  • This is BS, the Smart Plug has no stock anywhere in VIC or NSW; not even available to do delivery too

    • +3

Sorry you are too late to the party ;)

  • So do i need a hub for the smart bulb and sensor even if have a samsung device (s20)?

    • +1

yes, you need a hub. the smart bulbs and sensors are using zigbee.

  • Hi
I have smartthings motion sensors …need to buy a Hub .
Is it Samsung V3 or Hubitat ( it is expensive) ..suggest me please?

  • +1

Just the Hub, vision sensor, and water leak sensor left online now.

  • I find that the vision sensor is quite an odd product. Don't really see the point. Either get a camera or just use the motion sensor if worried about privacy.

    • Vision sensor can distinguish pets from people?

      • So can a camera. Can you drive automation based on object detection? E.g. don't trigger lights if the dog walks past, etc.

        • Beats me. I bought everything they had except the vision sensor :)

    • +1

The vision sensor can detect falls, so you can put it in an elderly/child/disabled persons bedroom or bathroom without invaliding their privacy.

  • Merged from Samsung SmartThings V3 Hub $35 + Delivery (Free C&C/In-Store) JB Hi-Fi

Get hundreds of compatible lights and sensors working together wirelessly
Features personal scene-settings like Movie Night and Evening Mode
Minimal and unobtrusive design fits into your home decor

    • Is this the newest one?

      • no idea… just found via pricehipster… dont know much about the product

      • latest yes, but its not the wifi built in one, so its a zigbee hub, still super cheap tbh

        • +1

Ah so I can't hook it up to my home assistant?

          • @ChickenDinner123: Yes, but need a fair amount of work to get it going alo g with home assistant.

            • @lgacb08: Smartthings integration is pretty easy TBH, only takes 5 minutes

        • +1

I picked one up on the weekend, and it has WiFi built in.

It's the V3 hub(IM6001-V3P), and my understanding was all V3 hubs had WiFi.

          • +1

@NinjaChicken: It has WiFi to connect to your existing network.

There's also the SmartThings WiFi Hub which is a router and hub in one.

          • @NinjaChicken: Interesting! I had just assumed I had to connect the ethernet, as with Hue Bridge.
Looks like it needs a soft-reset, and re-connect in the app to use wifi.

    • No stock for me :(

    • +1

No stock for Adelaide or Brisbane :(

    • +5

The reason there is no stock is because it is a dupe. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/584044 The stock has been ozbargained already.

      • +2

Lol if you're looking for this now you're a week late and you should be ashamed to call yourself an ozbargainer.

    • Anyone that has one of these - does it have a temperature sensor? Looking for the cheapest way to ask my Google Home what the temperature is inside my lounge room. I have a Xiaomi Air Purifier which displays the temperature in the Mi Home app but I haven't been able to figure out a way to get it to link to Google / be read out by Google.

      • you can pair this with a temp sensor to get the data into G home yes

      • I've got a Z-Wave temp sensor, but there are plenty which are available on Zigbee or Z-Wave protocols.

      • I've got these connected to my SmartThings hub, and i can ask Alexa "What's the temperature of <device name>" https://m.blitzwolf.com/Temperature--Humidity-Sensor-p-445.h…

Ok scratch that looks like Bangood doesnt have them anymore. But SmartThings multi-purpose sensors have temperature you ask what the temp is.

      • +1

The water leak sensor has a built in temp sensor: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-smartthings-water…
You might be able to do something with that, though I think you need the Smartthings Hub to use them, not 100% sure.

    • No stock and no option for delivery

    • +1

Only Townsville has stock left. Makes click and collect less appealing.

    • Beware, Samsung has stopped manufacturing Smartthings products and has outsourced it to Aeotec. Very hard to get any devices now and both companies have refused to say what the future will look like for the platform.

  • Got lucky with 2 buttons at JB Kotara, they still have 6 multi purpose sensors and a dozen vision sensors.

  • Did anyone have luck with connecting Smart Plug to the Philis Hue Hub? I was able to get the bulb connected without much trouble, but not able to discover the plug through the app.

    • No. Best to just use the Hue Bridge for lighting. If you wish to eliminate the Smartthings hub (because of Cloud), go HomeAssistant.
