    Missed the shopback option earlier but sounded too good to be true…

    In any case this is still a pretty good deal in its own right isnt it? The $100 for 12 mths I mean. I've got a sim expiring in Feb (boost) and haven't seen anything remotely close to this recently? I'll hold off until over the weekend and hopefully either CR or SB bring back some kind of cashback on it to sweeten the deal.

      Port out to Telstra $2 sim (no need to recharge). It took only few hours for the process. And then purchase this deal.

    Seeing as the shopback cashback is now expired how does the referral credit work when it's a prepaid plan..in 12 months time we'll just be looking for the next best deal at the time? Unless you stick with amaysim what use is the credit? Am I missing something?

      Maybe use the referral credit to recharge a monthly plan (aka an extra month before porting out).

    Bugger. I wanted to wait a bit and see if there were going to be any other similar deals. Knowing that the deal is ending Monday - tomorrow - I was going to buy today if nothing else popped up. Majorly pissed off that the Shopback has expired.

      Not sure. The thing is the cashback is based on original price ($150 and $200). If it’s honored then Shopback will have a huge loss?

      I took the quick way out and bought a $2 Amaysim sim in Woolies.
      I then rang Amaysim and they linked that sim to my order and i was up and running.

    Did anyone get cashback on this. I just got an email from shopback saying it didn't track so I won't get anything. Really disappointing because that was the whole reason for buying the sim.

      My Shopback acct is still showing it as 'pending'. Was it a case for you as well before you received 'didn't track' email? If it didn't track then why was it showing as 'pending' in the first place?

      Not yet. Not even the "sim card sent" email. Shopback did track the purchase tho and showing $60 cashback pending.

        A follow up on this. I received my SIM today. Shopback is showing the transaction as 'Pending' as well.

    Did not work for me. Placed an order at 10:48. Shopback contacted and they replied with

    Thank you for submitting a missing Cashback claim.

    We have investigated and found that the merchant has deemed ShopBack ineligible to earn commissions on this transaction which results in us being unable to pass the Cashback along to you.

    That said, we know how frustrating missing Cashback can be, and will now take additional steps to appeal on your behalf directly with -.

    Please allow us some time for this to happen, this process can take up to 35 days depending on how fast we hear back from -.

    ShopBack awards Cashback on your transactions on the basis that the merchant attributes your order to ShopBack and pays us a commission, they are the deciding party on a sale being attributed to ShopBack.

    There are quite a few reasons why these orders may not be attributed to ShopBack. This includes:

    1. If a user clicks on a Honey, Cashrewards, or another chrome extension after clicking from ShopBack
    2. If other web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers are opened after clicking through ShopBack

        Not tracked, that’s why a missing CB claim had to be submitted.

      You can still port your number over. I was in the similar situation. My boost expired last week. And I waited 3 days to port even when I haven't received the amaysim Sim. And after a day my number was ported.
      Got my Sim today and instantly was working

    Similarly with others, I also haven't received the simcard yet.

    Contacted amaysim support team, they advised to buy $2 simcard from supermarket and they will refund the amount, but my concern this will invalidate the tracked cashback since this probably counted as partial refund etc.

    Is ShopBack rep can confirm if this will be OK regarding the cash back?

      Sounds fishy to buy a different SIM and like you, I worry it will invalidate cashback. Without it, I don't want this plan. Would rather do the Coles 365 $99 one.

      Oh, the LiveChat dude did not offer to refund the $2 if I were to buy a new sim to speed up the process. I just felt it would be wrong for us to pay for a sim card for their incompetency to cope with the volume of order from the Black Friday sales. Has anyone actually received the sim card?

        profaner did. See a few posts above in the reply to JaySu. Said they got it today. Another post (virhlpool) got it yesterday. AusPost is incredibly slow these days. Not sure we can blame Amaysim here.

      Just cancel/return order. Some have their cashback tracked.

        How can you cancel a sim that has already been activated? Amaysim only allow 30 days for activation, so there's no way to hold out until cashback comes through.

        The click was tracked but not the purchase. Have since sent through the invoice, but still got reject (no reason given). They're now followup up apparently.
