  • Darn….paid $169 yesterday through Centrecom

  • Is this the best router at this price range?

I have a long house where the router is in the front room. Currently the rear room's best chance of connection is on 2.4GHz in terms of signal strength. Would this router improve the signal strength at say 5GHz in comparison to the current router?

The existing router is a Netgear WNDR3700, runs Gargoyle and is getting old. I'd like to have something like Gargoyle loaded for time control for the kids wifi.

    • not sure about it, but if you just want to extend the wifi range, you can try look for Tenda Nova

      • I'd like to upgrade the current router too. So if I can solve the range without additional devices, then that's a bonus.
