Mate… i5 480M, you know that's old, c'mon you can do better, SB's been out for ages.
Lenovo E320 direct from Lenovo (without any resellers) gives you a cheaper price, yes, 2GB RAM only but easily upgradable and would still be cheaper, I think it was $424 or something..

    • and only Core i3, 320GB and 6 Cell Battery, but yeah pretty good price if you are after something even cheaper. Everything else looks good

    • Actually these are worth the premium due to the 10 hour battery life. Thinking about getting one for my sis for Uni next year. No CD-ROM is a drawback though.

And no floppy drive. No floppy drive is a major drawback too.

On serious note, who needs ODD drives nowadays? I haven't used the DVD burner on my desktop for ages — the only discs I've inserted into the drive have been Windows and Linux install discs.

        • Actually they still provide some course content on CDs. Just last semester my business law tutorials were all on a CD. I suppose I could get an external, but still.

      • No way in hell does this have a 10 hour battery life.
7 would be a better estimate

        • One of the guys at work has one and the battery life is more around the 8-9hr mark under normal use. It's an 8 cell battery rather than the usual 6 cell. My Lenovo E320 with the 6 cell gets around 6-7hrs so the 8 cell should do better.

        • But your E320 is SB i3, this is an arrandale i5.
I have the same processor, except with a GPU (GT425M) with a 6 cell batt, on max powersaving mode i can say it reaches 4 hours, but mine is a 14"..
