    not wireless, damn :(

Why are wireless mechanical keyboards so rare?

    • Build your own! It's a pretty damn fun project to undertake

    • Mechanical keyboards are generally enthusiast devices. Separate of any latency issues that might crop up using wireless, adding RGB to a wireless kb will have you replacing batteries far more often than most people will think reasonable.

If you're looking for a wireless mechanical, I'd suggest looking for models that aren't RGB.

    • I think there is a movement towards wireless features as well, it's just that it is slowly being picked up by the mainstream makers right now.

Leopold is releasing one with Bluetooth now, Razer released a few recently, there are bunch of Chinese ones out there in the market right now.
I get the feeling that the market is expanding, with more and more makes trying to differentiate themselves with one another with movement away from Cherry switches and more.

  • oh, i thought mechanical keyboards helps speeds up your typing speed

    • I think as long as you have a reasonable keyboard, it shouldn't matter too much?
There are good keyboards out there that are not necessarily mechanical keyboards. I don't think my typing speed changed much between the keyboards I own.

  • This is such a good price. I used to have the blue switch version.
