    This vs wowstick… Opinions?

I reserved this on the price storm promo last week and paid the balance today. It was meant to be the lowest price $25usd. But with shipping, GST, and insurance it ended up $33usd, and it's shipped from the china warehouse. So I paid $6usd more to get it a week later :(
I tried to cancel the order but the banggood chatbot just goes in circles

    • +1

Use "talk to a person". Always works ;)

      • It diverts back to the chatbot, lol. The order status has changed to sent, so I think I'm out of luck

        • Oh lol. Maybe calling them? But their customer support is probably in another language.

        • Just found the solution! Spam the chatbot until it gives you a button that says Transfer to Agent. ;)

This was really frustrating - during pricestorm they charged GST on the original, not discounted price, so a $50 item discounted to $20 still had $5 GST attached - no luck with repeated support claims.

      • +2

Yeah the whole pricestorm promotion was dodgy. Advertise a low price with free shipping from AU to get you to pay deposit, then add shipping costs and "GST".

It was cheaper for me to buy item again (alldocube) than complete the price storm purchase.

Chat is very frustrating so I doubt many people got their deposits back.

  • does this produce enough torque to screw into wood?

    • +2

      Doubt it

      • shame. Does Xiaomi make anything that does?

A high quality chinesium screwdriver only works on high quality chinesium pressboard

  • Does this have a 2mm hex piece? Appears it does.

Price showing as $55 AUD why?

    • Looks like the cheaper price is only applied if it ships from the CN warehouse now

    • Must have expired

      • Yeah gone already even CN still $55 forget it

    • Edit: CN warehouse, only, at first it came up from AU.
I’m seeing it back at $37 from AU’s warehouse.

  • Just need 1 more for group buy. $46 bucks with delivery, postage insurance and GST

    • how much is the saving? Because that's more than the $36.70 from this deal.

  • Yep, bought it a bit ago and didn't realise it was from the CN warehouse. AU warehouse said $55, but then when I click on it, it goes straight to the CN-warehouse-only item.

Got the order cancelled but had to go through the Facebook Messenger bot, and eventually got to a "Contact Our Live Chat" or something option.

  • I have this setup and its really nice. Limited bit selection. But I already had the precision driver kit. Together they are a really good combo. Use the manual driver for torqueing then the electric for driving. Saved my wrists big time when building PC's.

  • Cheapest is $US33 after tacking on GST + Shipping which comes to $45 AUD give or take. Already have the non-electric set for $23 AUD which has been a great so far, very handy to have.
