  • Wonder if Amazon AU will jump in and match like they did with the AX88Us?

  • Does this support internet phone connection (I think it’s called VOIP)

This doesn't have VoIP integrated but you can get a separate VoIP ATA if you want to connect a physical phone.

That would connect via the wired network ports. This device has 4 ports.

      • Can you connect the VoIP to any mesh router with wired network ports or does it need to be the main router only?

        • The voip ata just need a network port, can be anywhere on the network.

  • Would this be much of an upgrade over my current RT-AC86U? I've got a couple of AMD X570 MBs that have the new AX Wifi, but not sure if this Router would make much of a difference speed wise?

Also, using this with AC devices (I have a couple of computers with a TP-link wireless adapters in them. T6E, I think are the models), would it make any speed difference? I don't know much about wireless networking/tech.

    • Im not sure either, however after watching LTT's video, this router seems to be top of the line.

      • Do you think you will buy one? Do you have a link to the video?

Also, what would you be upgrading from if you were to buy one?

I'm still on the fence. My main concern is using VOIP. Maybe I can still connect the VOIP to the modem, as this is just a router.

          • @nomadspartan: Thanks for the link. Not sure how you'd go about using VoIP on it. You'd have to buy some sort of adapter, I'd assume, but not sure how it works. Also, I assume you need the model for your internet, so I guess you'd have to have that connected with it/before it.

  • Can you use this as a modem router or just as a router?

  • Anyone received any shipping updates yet?
