Just saw an ad pop up for the Weber Baby Q (Q1200) as part of their BF sales, this is the premium model that has the taller lid, temperature probe and electronic ignition.
It doesn't go on sale often being only available through specialist Weber stores.

What do you mean by consistency?
Like you could get it 300C one night and not the next?
exactly weather affects it badly due to the few penetrations it has. also possibly how thick the metal is. saturday night on max under a pergola it was anywhere from 190-250 degrees depending on whether it was raining at that time.

Picked up a Q2200 (in black) from John Alan Betta Home Living @ Knox today. They have 10% off the purchase price, which brought it down from $479 to $431.10.
