Another bonus deal/challenge for ebay has just popped in the app!

  • This challenge entitles you to $5 bonus cashback when you spend $5 or more in a single transaction (minimum spend does not include GST charged at checkout for international items, delivery and all other fees) at eBay Australia through ShopBack between 1.00pm and 11.59pm AEDT on 30th November 2020.
  • Multiple items may be purchased in a single transaction to reach the minimum spend.
  • Limited to one bonus per customer.
  • Available while redemptions last.
  • Valid for selected users only.
  • The $5 bonus cashback is in addition to the regular cashback you'll receive shopping at eBay Australia.
  • The $5 bonus will be added to your account once your regular cashback turns Confirmed.
  • Purchases that do not count towards this challenge are those in which do not meet the store's respective terms and conditions (including but not limited to cancellations, returns, exchanges, using unapproved coupons, purchasing excluded products/categories).

        I've had bad luck with eBay tracking from shopback app (it pushes me to the eBay app, not the eBay mobile website).
        Much better luck activating in app, and then purchasing on desktop browser in incognito mode.

        Just my 2c, I wouldn't trust the app.

        Hi! I recieved the eBay spend $10 get $10 & also a spend$5 get $5 seperate offer for any store. I made a purchase on eBay through the eBay Mobile App (I was redirected from the Shopback app) even though I tried to make the purchase inside the Shop Back app but it hasn't tracked now which is what I was worried about when it redirected me initially. I've screenshotted everything along the way but my question is if this takes a while to track will the offers still be honoured if it's after the event end and if I end up having to have it manually checked again will the offers be honoured?
        Sorry I'm fairly new to this whole process, generally my purchases have tracked either instantly or within minutes in the past?

          As per my comment above, you might be out of luck. Though I've heard nothing from a store rep saying you should avoid doing this, and the shopback app makes it the only way to buy.
          Previously the 'Continue in app' button would only popup when you were on the eBay mobile website, but now you can't even get to the website from the app…

Well it's still not tracked so I'm not sure what you are supposed to do if from within their app (Shopback) the only option is to make the purchase from the eBay app which it automatically opens. I didn't go anywhere else except where it directed me after accepting their offers Anne went right through to finalising purchase!
            Anyway I hope the store rep will eventually find time to respond, kinda makes me nervous being ignored though :'(
            Probably busy I'm sure she'll respond soon enough. Cheers

              @Clarky77: My wife and I are in the same boat (we did this on our respective iPhones)… both forced us through the app but I thought that meant it would be tracked given there was no other way to do this on Shopback.

    My $5 off $5 goes to 'error 404'. But clicked on the eBay $10 option and bought $15 worth of stuff. The $5 one now appears at the bottom of the challenge list with $4.54 in small font (whatever that means), assuming $5 cashback is really $4.54.. eBay one says $10.00.. See what happens.

      Given the $5 won’t track until your cashback tracks, I don’t think it will work unless it’s okay to have $0 cashback track, which is what happens when you use a code or buy from an ineligible category.

      For the previous deal a few days ago, it took around a day to track for me. And it shows 'completed' and 'reward pending' on the challenge once the transaction is tracked.

      From my previous experience (from Friday), it's the first 9000 to activate, not the purchase (I purchased something after it was full on Thurs, and it seemed to have registered something at least)
