Just received an email for Lonely Planet's Black Friday (even they admit it's after the date) 40% off everything sale. Finishes tonight at 11:59pm which isn't qualified, so I assume it's ADST. Hopefully it's useful to someone because whilst international travel is limited at the moment the travel guides can still be handy for local travel. Discount applied in the cart.
[Edit] Spelling.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2020

  • Planet best left lonely. I think the earth is recovering because of Covid.

  • I've travelled the world on these guides and always find they're the best (had them for most of Europe and UK, Russia and Siberia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, USA, Fiji, East Africa, NZ and various Australian states). Even so, apart from the local ones which are very useful right now, they're currently just reading material when you can't even travel overseas and the edition will be very out-of-date by the time you get to use it (lots of accommodation and places to eat will have gone out of business due to covid).

    • Agree. The internet is really good for cheap accommodation, but I think I miss some of the best sights with LP.

  • Some of these books (I haven’t checked them all) are cheaper on Amazon.

  • Stupid website wouldn't let me check out.

Got stuck in an infinite loop where it wanted me to confirm my address (which was fine) and then every time I went back to payment it looped back again.

Cool story Lonely Planet, enjoy not having my money I'll get a gift elsewhere.

    • You could try Amazon. The books you’re after may be cheaper.
