Oh perfect, I love snakes. So this would teach you Parseltongue?

        • +3

Why would you want to? Everyone knows all snakes are jerks…

I need a bot for PS5 scalping purposes.

Will I be able to learn this power from a snake?

        • Ps5 scalping is a very large topic, it involved lots of aspects. The bots are not smart enough to get the whole process done well yet. Human brain and fingers with experiences are still the best option for this purpose atm.

LoL … I reckon I will get to 80 years old. Have 20,000 courses on Udemy. Saved millions of dollars. And not started a single course.

Python really is a great language for automation. I've got a couple of automated YouTube channels that I made using python. Most compilation (tiktok, twtich, reddit) YouTube channels are automated using python or similar processes these days.

    • +2

Do you get DMCA/copyright claims on the twitch and tiktok stuff?

      • +1

Yeah I did while I was doing it, moved onto Reddit stuff and stuck with that as it can be monitzied.

        • reddit stuff can be monetised? Not quite a redditer myself so can't really imagine this use case

          • +1

@yadq: Prob drives people to his links

        • This sounds really interesting, what's your channel?

  • Can it play Factorio for me?

    • +2

If you have time to post on OzB, are you really playing Factorio?
I am getting quite interested in python, and am starting to enjoy completing a small problem, then tweaking it to make it more user friendly and more automated.
It reminds me of playing Factorio in a way.

Can I automate the doing of Udemy courses?

  • -1

Can it automate meaningless conversations with customers and coworkers?

  • +9

Out of my 3000+ hoarded Udemy courses, this is the first one I started and completed. So many Udemy Python courses are like "Zero to hero" or "Become a master" or "Masterclass" etc. This course stood out from the crowd and has a sense of goal - automate boring stuff.

I can confirm that it is very good. Highly recommended!

    • Sounds good thanks for your review, I’m learning python now so I think I’ll get on to this one :)

  • You purchased this course on December 02, 2020

And unlike all you other losers I'm actually going to do it! I'm just kidding, I'm sure I won't.

    I bought the book.

    I like reading from paper.

  • You purchased this course on Nov. 05, 2019

  • You purchased this course on Nov. 28, 2017. I really should start doing something…

  • It is a very good course for learning the basics of Python .. I did it early this year…Also there is a good book that goes with it

  • If anyone is planning on taking this course you have to be aware that it's more of a supplement to the free book mentioned in this thread. The author will refer to the book a lot. The best way to do this course is read the book then watch the relevant videos.

  • You purchased this course on AttributeError: ‘module’ object has no attribute …….. seems I'm going back to school

  • You purchased on Jun 03 2020. So what, I want another copy!

  • Complete know-nothing about this stuff. I want to automate some csv downloads, process them in excel, and then upload the output. Would this course be a good place to start?
