Their new return policy is a bit crap really.

Changes to Uniqlo AU change of mind return policy will be effective from 1 December 2020.
    Updates include:
    • Online purchases that require a refund must be returned to the UNIQLO online warehouse by postal mail
    • Merchandise purchased in-stores must be returned to the same store of purchase if a refund is required
    • Online purchase or purchases made in store may be exchanged at any store location within 30 days

    How much do returns cost?
Returns processed within a UNIQLO Australia store are free. If you are lodging your return via Australia Post no payment will be required initially. However, we will deduct a $7.00 handling fee from the total refund amount.

Damn. With how all over the shop their sizing is not being able to buy two and return on in store is baaaaad.

      • you cant refund at any store but you can exchange at any store within 30 days

        • And then refund that in store exchange?

    • +1

A lot crap, especially the whole you must return stuff in the same store you bought it from. Imagine if you were a parent interstate (say from Adelaide), saw a nice shirt for your child in Melbourne, bought it and went back to Adelaide, only to find that said shirt didn't fit your child well …

      • then you would exchange it in adelaide for the right size

        • How? :/ Tell me where there's a UNIQLO in Adelaide.

          • +1

@kerfuffle: ohh no uniqlo in adelaide? who would of thought that ohh wells my bad

          • @kerfuffle: Really? Even Northland has one =\

            • @Manny Calavera: You live in Melbourne; you get everything fashion-related first or close to first, like UNIQLO and H&M

              • +1

@kerfuffle: COVID is also fashionable these days.

              • @kerfuffle: Yeah nah Sydney normally gets it first before Melbourne

                • @Craze: As I said, "first or close to first." Godiva, Milligram, UNIQLO, H&M, Victoria's Secret that actually sells lingerie and not just undies, even Costco … They're all in Melbourne only or first opened in Melbourne before coming to Sydney.

                  • @kerfuffle: I stand corrected, didn't read "close to first" bit for some reason! Time to call it a night…

sucks but i feel it's quite internally (business) focused rather than customer centric. makes sense from their point of view

    • What about H&M in comparison?

      • If you're a H&M member its free returns

    • +6

I noticed alot of business doing this now, simply because people take advantage of the free returns for so long and abuse it that company start imposing fees now and also the markets changing where most people are buying online and the truth is businesses can do this.

    • What was it before? I live in SA where there's no Uniqlo stores and had to return via post before and have $7 deducted from refund (over a year ago).
For those saying Uniqlo sizing is all over the place, yes, every store is like this.
Uniqlo has by far the best size charts I've seen on any site ever, exact measurements are listed for every piece/size of clothing.. You really can't go wrong!

    • I remember when they first operated in Australia this was the "policy", but you were still able to return at stores (I think it was at the discretion of the store at the time but it was largely accepted).

    • i also just found this out when I received my parcel yesterday. Their sizing is so bad ,xs is so huge for one of the dress which is very unusual . Sigh . Now I m thinking if I go for xxs and lose my cash back or just return it given that xs is so big, xxs would be quite big too .

If the garment doesn’t fit then there is no use even if it was for free. Exchange or return it if the smallest size is too big.

i have enough clothes i have enough clothes i have enough clothes

    • Yes. I believe in you. Control yourself!

Will this work for in-store purchases using a linked card?

    • Same question. I want to know as well.

      • +3

No, it won't as Uniqlo is not an active in-store merchant on Cashrewards at this stage. Card linking works only on stores and locations specifically listed here. Thanks.

          Thanks mate

        • They should allow at least cash back in just exchange of size, uniqlo sizes are different for different item , it’s hard to know what to buy before trying.

        • Hi can i please check if 20% off expiry date is when u click on the cash rewards link at 11:50pm for example, and valid for 3 hours, or is it when you check out the item? Could i click on the 20% cash rewards link at 11.50pm and out check out at 12.10am, am i still eligible for the 20% off?

when i buy clothes online, there are times when just one item is unavailable and i get a partial refund. I think a partial refund voids the entire cashback doesnt it? This kills the deal

  • Has anyone tried their new Airism bedding? The chemicals apparently used for the 'Cupro' material leave me a bit concerned.

  • problem is I keep browsing their site but can't really find something interest me?
either the price/material/brand not worth it, or the new design sucks!
(hey, I used to bought lots of clothes & pants from them)
