Better of paying the $50 more and getting the 32" bravia from DSE (if that offer is still valid). In terms of noname brands, soniq and vivo FHD 32" screens have been going around the $299 price point on sale for the last 6 months, you're probably better off grabbing one of them (the better end of no name tvs).

i'd rather pay not much more and get 32" sony instead of no-name brand http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/58694

I bought a no name brand from DSE and it works just as fine.
You are paying the premium just for the brand.

      • +2

No we are not paying premium for Sony - funny timing of this TV from Catch - they are losing the plot like Kogan!

        • +1

Agreed, the premium is not for the branding. There is a real step up in quality of the picture and unit

  • thought as much :)

  • Bosston? Visitors will forever laugh at your TV set and its designer, who couldn't spell the USA city name.

looks like some reject brands from panda country :)

    • Panda country?

    • Don't insult the pandas, that tv is more like a squirrel

  • "12 month AWA warranty "
Did you change it, as it is "12 month CatchOfTheDay warranty" on their website?
Or they changed it later to let few users know, it is AWA made?

    • i would say awa do the local servicing as oppose to it being an awa brand. they used to service IBM's

    • It was a direct copas

      • Yea, may be COTD changed it later.

  • another crapoftheday

as said above the sony bravia is only $50 more or you can get a Soniq for the same price which is better

  • I've bought this and am quite happy with mine. The picture quality could be a bit better but not bad for the price (you can't beat Free:). I like the fact that it's got a headphone socket so I can plug it into my stereo and listen to Internet Radio from my Apple TV box. The best purchase I've ever made because Catch gave me an offer I couldn't refuse when resolving an issue. Thanks Catch:).
