Is the 12% included in the listed price for the Promo Eligible hotels?

Does't work for me, the price stays the same after I typed in my AMEX card number. This is a "Promo Eligible" accommodation.
How should it work?
Doesn't seem to accept AmEx. At checkout, if typed in AmEx card number, get this message "Please enter a valid MasterCard or Visa card number."
worked for me this way,
use the link from op,
choose the eligible hotel and dates etc,
go to last page choose visa/mc/amex payment type,
enter amex numbers, price dropped by 12% after the card number is accepted.
