I just don't know what's wrong with Vodafone. I got 2 Sims I try to activate but website keep telling me they can't verify my IDs. Tried with different browsers and different laptops but still same issue. Even tried 3 different names but still couldn't do it.

it won't verify your ID if you're using 3 different names

      • No no no. What I meant was I refreshed and tried again with different name and address. I tried 3 names on 3 different addresses with correct IDs (I used my missus, her dad and my name).

try couple more different names, you might get lucky.. :)

Hehe.. could you please sms me your details ;)

    • Hmn that is weird. I guess best bet is to call them. Tried other id like passport?

      • I tried driving licenses and Medicare. Not possible to call. No numbers on Vodafone website. I plan to drop my a store tomorrow and ask them.

  • Do you get 40gB at activation or after you recharge $30?

    • +1

      Activation then next 2 recharges

      • This is great news!! I have a few starter packs which I stashed away when they took away their data bonus. I will start activating them for data now. thanks.

  • Shaped Data is interesting for prepaid.

$9/40GB at Vodafone, but larger credits on special.
    $12/50GB, $15/60GB

      And? 20GB P/mth

      • And this deal is only 28 days.

        • -1

          And? It’s non comparable.

Yep that's a better comparison to this deal however I only like to sim slut every 3 months, monthly would drive me crazy.

Also I refuse to buy 28 day sims as service providers are basically milking another month out of the year by doing this.

            @Arthur Dunger: Nailed it.

Have to activate next week my Belong SIM 40GB for $20. Works out to be 42GB i.e. 14GB for 3 months for $6.67 a month —- not as good as their double data but it's still pretty decent.

Problem with Vodafone is you hardly able to utilize the data allowance since its quite slow in general.

Depends where you are. Also, sometimes it might be your phone too.

Doesn't matter if you are part of the wifi gang.

  • Can i buy this and activate with 'Pay and Go' prepaid? would like something with long expiration

    • Aldi has "Pay as You Go" and the calls/sms rates are cheaper - calls 12c/min, 12c/SMS, data 5c/MB
      Voda "Pay & Go" - calls 20c/min, 20c/SMS, data 4c/MB

      • Thanks for tips! Aldi is definitely cheaper. Since vodafone can use esim on prepaid, i would like to use the esim function to keep my personal number active and sometime i could use it on apple watch, while work provided number on physical sim.
