  • Shopback or cashrewards?

    • +3

Cashrewards are easier to deal with IMO

      • +3

And they didn't leak your data yet ..

    • Does cashrewards also have 15%?

      • +1

Cashrewards has Liquorland 20% right now

  • Any exclusion for anything? Applicable to everything at Dan's?

  • Time to spend $166.67

    • So shopback calculated cashback on purchase price incl. GST?

  • why is everything out of stock at Dan's?

    • +1

I think it is just the store policy. Nobody lets you buy gift cards with cashback then claim cashback again when you spend them.
BWS, for example, declines cashback on orders paid with gift cards, because you can buy them with cashback
Dan's doesn't allow cashback on gift card purchases, so takes the opposite approach.

      • I dont get it… whats the point of this offer when they dont want ppl to shop? poor business strategy!

      • You can’t pay with gift cards for this cash back promo anyway right?

        • +1

I've always paid with GCs @DM online, and always gotten cash back promo.
"Cashback is payable when you make a purchase with a Dan Murphy's or WISH gift card"

          • @johnmelb: Extra 5%< I always forget that!

            Do they deliver instant?

            • @[Deactivated]: From where?

              • @Westpac: DM possible via suncorp rewards, don't know if anywhere else (maybe AGL rewards, but since I switched I don't have access anymore)

              • @Westpac: I thought you could get Wish for 5% discount and use at DMs. I have no idea this.

                • @[Deactivated]: That party is over afaik (if you're referring to 5% discounted GCs via CashRewards/Shopback)

            • @[Deactivated]: I still have GCs from before, but you can still get 5% via suncorp rewards.
And yes, Amazon/Ebay has always been instant (1 time I did have to wait a minute and refresh).
No experience with the DM GCs, but assume it's the same and (near) instant.

              I would try, if I didn't have 2k in GCs already :-)

does this mean you must pay with a gift card to get the discount ?

    • Why has this been voted down? It's a legitimate question based on the line in the post. I'm guessing from the downvotes and lack of responses that it means you can use a Dan's or Wish gift card - in addition to regular (credit card) payment.

Where can one find the full terms and conditions of the deal - including whether the cashback is calculated including or excluding GST?

  • Ordered $360 2 days ago! God dammit

Anybody want to point to some good quality reds suitable for gifts? For a gift I usually look in the rrp $40-$50.

    • Penfolds Bin 28 is pretty good. $34.95 atm too

    • +1

For your price bracket there's plenty of top notch reds. Torbreck The Struie Shiraz is one of them.

  • Anyone know how long it takes for Wish gift cards purchased cashrewards to be sent through?

    • +1

anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour

  • +2

Last time I bought a "member offer" at Dan's, Shopback declined the Cashback. Idk if this is the norm or they just like to weasel out when they can….anybody know?

    • +1

Maybe Shopback took the affiliate profit and just didn't pass any on to you

  • Is A WISH gift card the same as a standard Woolies gift card?

    • No. Wish can be use across many stores whereas Woolies is Woolies only.

  • Does anyone else have issues with this cashback? I purchased $120 worth of stuff from Uniqlo based on 22% cashback but none of it has tracked, despite having evidence of the green ShopBack extension button at the time of purchase… I received only a generic reply from the ShopBack email when submitting this cashback as missing… is there anyone (phone or live chat) that I can talk to?

    • +1

I have the same issue. I emailed customer service through the app. Shopback reps said uniqlo marked my transaction as ineligible. They’re going to ask uniqlo to explain why.

    • ShopBack is just false advertising. I don't understand why ozbargain allows them to post their "deals".

I placed an order for $367 and received a cashback of $7.34. Where is the 15% or $25 max ShopBack?? You took you 16 days to get it wrong! And if your answer is "It's Dan's fault" well don't post deals from them anymore. But seeing people having similar issues with Uniqlo seems like the problem is you.

This is the last time I'm using any of your "deals" and you just won a detractor who's going to warn others to stay away from you.

      • I cannot delete my comment so for everyone's benefit I need to clarify that ShopBack responded to my email and adjusted the cashback to the right amount ($25).
I apologise for the angry comment. If an admin can remove my negative vote, I would appreciate it.

        • The point you make is valid though. One should not have to contact them each and everytime. The correct amount owing should be noted hence there lays the issue. It's a common one with Shopback (personal experience) hence ALWAYS worth checking

          • First: What is initially noted is accurate and is the amount due.
          • Second (important): When the payment is made that the amount paid is correct and not underpaid by several dollars.
