  • Any opinions on these cameras?
Looking for a rechargeable Security camera above garage door. Area is pretty covered.

    • I have one connected to the mains outside. They are good value, image is clear, software is good but the false positives from flying insects, waving leaves, rain are a royal pain even after reducing the sensitivity right down and turning the infra red off. I have never owned another camera so cannot say whether it is a Reolink issue or all cams have the same issue.

      • I have the same issue with my sensor lights on windy days. I may hold off for a better option.

      • +1

Very much agree. I have the 4k reolink cam with nvr and end up turning off the notification. It remained a dumb cctv camera.
Had hikvision before this (broke down) and same issue. My brother has eufy and never like this. Should have chosen those with people recognition to avoid this.

    • I have one, with the solar panel. Always at 100% despite more than 20-40 min viewing daily. Even with not ideal lighting the solar panel (cost around $30, should provide endless running time). Good quality.
Also have the RLC-520 outdoor 5Mpx cam setup, very happy with it. I was getting false positives from other devices too. I am planning to use some smart solutions, like this one: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/tool-tutorial-free-ai-person-d… to improve on the detection.
I was happy with the quality/price ratio that I have purchased a system for my dad in Europe as well. Reliable, simple to set up and reasonably secure (can work without internet connection, multiple user set up, etc)
P.S. Always check their own e-shop and their ebay store for price comparison!

  • Not a credible seller this ShoppingSquare. I wouldn't buy anything from them, hardly any positive reviews online for this seller. Seems very dodgy.
And while offering a 20% discount, they might actually ship an inferior model that wouldn't them as much. You wouldn't know if you're getting the product you're paying for. Also, there could be massive shipping delays as this will most likely come from China. I wouldn't trust their word even if they said this was 'in stock'.

  • Is reolink stuff compatible with any systems like tuya etc?
Or is it its own app
