GOLMM6

Xiaomi has just released a new security camera, with 360° Full-HD recording & night vision. You can configure motion detection and tracking as well as human and sound detection. Also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.

Being so new could only find the one review basically good quality video let down by a buggy App, which I assume being Xiaomi will be fixed with an update soon.

To get price in title:

  • Apply promo code GOLMM6 at checkout.

Note: Title prices include GST. Approximated AUD price, based on today's MasterCard rates, paying in USD

  • The old Xiaomi Mi 360° Home Security Camera's have been a mixed bag.

I have two, one works great the other takes a long time to connect even though it's closer to the router.

Don't trust Xiaomi cameras since they geo blocked the Dafang models. Had 4 of them. Now all bricks.
But thanks for posting op. Someone may find it worth the punt.

Custom firmware exists. This is one of the bigger projects.

        Oh wow, thanks Clear!

Always love to know if there's a custom firmware community - they really do fix a lot of the bugs and add new cool features.

There's even one for the Yi cameras. Pretty much all Xiaomi related cameras have them. Normally to enable RTSP and stop everything going through China.

Maybe it changed but when I looked into this it depended on what firmware you updated to, some even shipped unable to be hacked

  • My two of the xiaomi 360 are working great… Cheers

  • These wifi / wired?

Does it loop record..ie. if someone drives past it goes back and records a few seconds before, during and after?

What's the max distance you could clearly see a number plate, or a persons face ? Kogan 1080 cam is about 2m for reference. Thinking a 4k cam is needed for an average 5m setback (front porch to driveway).

    Cheers

  • I have the older global version from Banggood which doesn't get geo-locked when you update the firmware. Looks like for this newer model, the free 7-day cloud storage is no longer included. It uses a different app (which is Alexa compatible) to Mi Home so if you already have a Mi Home ecosystem setup, you might want to re-consider.
