Action 6ft Climbing Dome $115 + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

400

With shipping for me this came to $130 which is $1 more than the Kmart alternative which is a similar size but appears to be made of plastic and apparently fades badly whereas this one is powder coated steel - and the Kmart one only holds 70kg whereas this one holds 145kg.

https://www.kmart.com.au/product/eezy-peezy-climber-with-top…

Normally $168 at HNs according to price hipster, and showing at $199 elsewhere so thought some others might be interested.

Key Features
Built with a weather and rust-resistant powder-coated steel frame, helping keep it cool to the touch even during hot days
Sturdy construction keeps it securely anchored to the ground, providing your child with a safe play area
Suitable for ages 3 to 9 years
Note: Can hold up to 145kg of weight.

  • Why is it Tagged as "Electrical & Electronics"?

    • No idea as I am sure I selected house and garden or something…will see if I can update

Edit: updated now, cheers for the pickup

      • No problem - I wasn't sure what an Action 6ft Climbing Dome was.
So was a little surprised when I saw the kids climbing frame (not shown in Deal at time of commenting).

Because its powder coted steel, there are some electrical applications. For example, if you connectee your mains power to the device, it works like a bug zapper but for unwanted kids.

I think they were originally satellite dishes for regional Foxtel service but the NBN came along…..

  • $50 postage to Adelaide

    • Bummer. Kills the deal.

I’m about 30mins out of Brisbane CBD so not sure where shipping is from but hopefully not too much to other big cities…

    • +1

$50 here also had it been in store might have got this, things like this are never available in stores, pointless they even sell it when asking for $50 shipping.
Had it been amazon would be sent free.

      • Yeah when I saw not available in store I nearly clicked away but thought I’d check shipping cost and was surprised it was reasonable for me. I doubt stuff like this would even take up much space in store but clearly HNs are just acting as agents for Action by listing on their site which is becoming more and more common these days (stores listing stuff they don’t actually stock).

    • $15 delivery in Brisbane

  • Good deal OP, $90 shipping for me to Far North QLD, but this would’ve been the perfect Christmas present.

Great price for this. $15 shipping for me on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

  • Cheers op, this was around $200 last month when I was shopping around.

Thanks OP, $15 shipping here also.

This will be a pain to move when you need to mow the lawn. I'm happy with the easy peezy.

We have a similar metal one. It's fine. You just climb into the middle, then lift. That makes it a piece of cake for one person.

If you don't feel like climbing in then it is draggable.

Our family has the plastic one.. man, theirs bends so much it scares me a bit.

      • +4

Plastic one seems to introduce another dimension to the fun. Sounds like a bonus to me.

You can also gamble on when the uv damage will make it brittle enough for your kid to plummet to the ground.

Not a laughing matter really. Little guy has knocked himself out twice and it is scary as fk.

          • @justtoreply: On the other hand if you run into plastic and run into metal, which hurts more? Each has their pros and cons.

  • Hours of fun

  • This one or big w one?

    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/lil-monkey-dome-climber/p/10…

    Which one is better?

    • +1

Big W says holds up to 80kg/it weighs 6.5kg so probably plastic like Kmart. If your kids aren't too chunky it might be okay.

  • +2

I can recommend this one https://www.harveynorman.com.au/lifespan-kids-lil-monkey-out… had it for years out in all weather and still going strong

    • Is that same lil monkey which big w is selling now?

      Tempting to buy one now

  • OP it’s taller then me I can hang from it

I could really use this to build my house on Mars but the shipping kills it.

    • Good idea! Hiking to Harvey Norman right now. Gonna use this as my new camping setup.

Throw a tarp over it and you have a house. #mortgagefree
