    Thanks for the post! Sydney to Tullamarine still not much cheaper than what we already got. Good for folks not fussed about flying into Avalon.

    OP, while I like your deals, your Jetstar deals are incomplete without giving an idea of what checked baggage costs. I expect most OzBargainers will want to fly with checked baggage, so how about giving a single line for each journey indicating the checked baggage costs, so we can easily work out the total cost without having to click through multiple Jetstar booking pages?

    For example, after going through the entire flight selection process, I finally got to the checked baggage page. For Brisbane to Hobart, checked baggage costs are $24 for 15kg, $26 for 20kg, $39 for 30kg and $52 for 40kg.

    Do Jetstar still have a surcharge for most payment methods? If so, a short paragraph mentioning that will also help. Can the surcharge be avoided?

    These prices include carry on luggage only.

    Would be better saying "These prices include 7kg carry on luggage only."

      Sure, I can add that 7kg in. Flying domestically I personally almost never take checked luggage (heck I did 2 weeks in India with carry-on only), but each to their own.

      It takes a fair bit of time to go through each route, and then also looking at if there are baggage charges, credit card charges etc, and writing all those in. I'll see if I can find a simple table somewhere.

        You must be young and healthy. A CPAP machine will use up about half of your carry-on space/weight.

          I wish :/ I am neither (my backpack is usually ~1/4 heart & other medicine). To be fair, neither carrying heart meds or a CPAP is something most ozbargainers will travel with.

      I'd say the overwhelming majority of people travelling interstate do not require checked baggage.

      Just arrived to Melb from Brisbane. and will return back to QLD tomorrow. No quarantine needed so far. But things changes rapidly. So keep an eye.

      Yep, sale on from there too! I just did the tables for the other main routes. As per the description, have a look at Jetstar's deals and then check the same dates on Beat That Flight as like the ones above, it can be cheaper there!

    Should update the post to state the Melb to Syd is from crappy Avalon in the middle of nowhere and not Melbourne Airport

    Unless I am wrong but all the $40 flights I looked are all Avalon

    Just booked flights for February next year. Does anyone know terms for cancellation if borders close etc? Any domestic travel insurance which will cover?
