    Anyone know a good tablet that has these are 4 criteria?
    1. Long ass battery life
    2. Good (the) screen 16:9
    3. WiFi only
    4. Non trash tier cpu

      Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4" Wi-Fi comes in at just $299, less 10% if you buy with Zippay on a Saturday.

      CPU is Snapdragon 662, not great not terrible.

      In terms of GeekBench score it's 300 single core / 1400 Multi-core

      the Aldocube iPlay 30 scores 289 single core / 1281 multi core.

      downside of the Samsung tab is that it only has 2GB RAM (32GB storage) for the cheap australian variant. There is a higher end 64GB Tab with the same CPU but with an extra gig of RAM, which is useful if you're a multi-tasker. edit: this is incorrect, the JB HIFI link shows 3GB RAM.

        The A7 is definitely good value. The good thing about the Samsung tablet it will probably get a couple of Android versions updates and security updates for a fair while. I don’t know about these Chinese tablets.

          Honestly can't see me using it for anything outside of Netflix and YouTube

            @Salmando: If using for Netflix you want to avoid these Chinese branded tablets. They don't have the widevine DRM support. Get the A7.

      Go with the Lenovo chromebook, at least you are buying a reputation product, besides chromebook will be more versatile shall you change your usage of it.

        I actually have one of these, it has L3 unfortunately but I knew that when I bought.

        My issue is that it resets fairly often and when charging keeps the screen going on and on never fully charging.

        I dont recommend.

    I'm assuming this is the same as the iPlay 20 with Widevine L3? This is a deal breaker for me with these tablets because it means no HD streaming from Netflix or Amazon.

            Iplay 20 was slated to have some sort gorilla glass (doesnt mean it s scratch resistant though)

              @[Deactivated]: Laminated means you won't see the gap in the display between the glass screen and touch screen digitiser. It's not uncommon to see that in cheaper tablets.

              Yeah no mention of Gorilla Glass so that may be gone. The width is entirely reasonable too as it's a tablet. Phones have to pack and stack everything together.

    I've had the iPlay20 Pro for a couple of months and I'm very pleased with it. No lag and an excellent bright screen. A steal for $240 in my opinion. I'm not a Netflix user so the Widevine SD limitation isn't an issue for me. YouTube displays content in 1080p. Downsides are the potato camera and the build quality - the frame creaks with minimal pressure applied.

          I use netflix on my TV, this will be mostly my reading + light gaming tablet.
          One thing I'm mostly worried would probably be the lack of service centre and repair.

        The Samsung Tab A's 3MB of RAM and 32GB ROM would be a performance concern for me going forward but it is probably a more sensible purchase for most people at the $299 pricepoint.

          I was thinking about that, but I might be buying alldocube after all. I'm mostly contemplating on whether to buy 30 or wait for 40 to come out which might actually take a while with an inflated price in a few months.

            @Clear: Thanks, it is US$189 when code apply, but shows as $277 if I choose display with AUD, big strange. I ended with place the order by pay US$189 directly from paypal account and it took a little over AU$250. Hope it can arrive soon. Just one thing feel not such convenient is there is no case/film for sale on the Geekbuying or sort of combine sale with the tablet, so I have to go Aliexpress to purchase them separately and cost around $10 for a soft case and glass film.

    Order placed 4 days ago and still in processing, delivery time shows on the web page is 5-8 business days, which seems a joke. Not good experience for the first order with GeekBuying
