they keep coming up with new excuses not to beat it…

Its really dependent on stores & the person you're dealing with. I've had my local OW match/beat online prices without a problem. The guy would just make sure he checks it on the website…includes the delivery charges and beats that total by 5% at checkout.
lucky my room mate works for Officeworks - Guarenteed price match, plus free same day home delivery, and I get an extra 5% (normally 20% but due to reduction of price, less)(staff discount) off.
I suggest, if your a bargainer at heart - start scoping out for wives at all stores that price match.
take a snapshot of the logitechshop webpage and email a complaint to Officeworks or maybe just buy it from the logitechshop for $2.50 more?

-Then afterwards they made another bullshit excuse that logitechshop won't ship it till the 13th so they can't pricematch till that date..Emailing headoffice with a complaint about their price matching policy is pointless
I once called the head office and they didn't do jack shit and sided with their own stores..The problem is:
officework has no consistency with regards to price match, one store does it, another won't.
That's why there price match policy is false advertising

I know Melbourne City's OW staff are like that. I went to pricematch something before they just sneered like they didn't believe it was that cheap and refused price match. But the other officeworks i.e. In Fitzroy, Doncaster and Nunawading were more than happy to. =D
Not Fitzroy! They used to be more than happy to, especially the guys. They have changed staff recently and they now refuse to price match even their own OW receipts saying they don't accept photocopies. Just excuses.
And they are so rude! Can't even afford a smile. They smile when they first approach you and once you mention pricematch the smile turns to a serious face, and they then treat you like a criminal trying to rob them. Talk to you sternly etc. If you can't pricematch that's fine, don't treat me like I'm trying to cheat you out of your money. Still treat me in a courteous manner. I'm still a legit customer. Sigh… sorry for the rant. LOL.
I've had staff from other branches giving me a smile and saying "That's a really good price! Well done.." so ya, it's just Fitzroy that I am pissed at. LOL.

I've always found Elizabeth Officeworks (in SA) to be pretty good. I usually pricematch MSY down the road (because OW have a far superior warranty/return policy on their items + staff discount). A few times they try ringing MSY but it's rare for them to answer. They just take my word that it's in stock.

That's interesting especially when Bing Lee & LTS's offers are both very prominent in the marketplace. Also go back up this thread someone got a set from OW for $46 so there is precedent there. Although save all the hassle and buy online from LTS or Bing Lee - you'll have them in a couple of days.

You can still use the Z506's with laptop 3.5mm line out, they will still provide surround sound and they are awesome, one of our team use them on their desk.

You'll need to find your receipt either printed or electronic so that we and/or LTS can help you out. Once you have that, call our Support Team to log a call and ask for a Case ID.

Has anyone got this working with a Samsung 3d LED TV. Ive tried connecting to this Samsung LED C7000 using both RCA connections and also through headphone jack. Only getting a very loud hum.
Tested on another tv and I had no problem

Playing HD music videos on youtube makes the read speakers crackle for some strange reason. But the rest of the times it's just great.

Still haven't received my speakers yet. Can't seem to find any Email in my inbox either - but can see a invoice in my Paypal account.
Took the plunge bought myself the Creative Gigaworks T20 SII after pondering for 2 months on which Logitech speakers I should get. Sound quality far exceed my expectation and is better than the Logitech z506 or any of the Logitech 2.1 that I have tested including the z623 which is supposedly THX certified. Great sound clarity compare to muffled sound on the Logitechs. Glad I did not simply jumped on these.
Interesting feedback, we aren't quite sure how our speakers can be muffled, but hey, everyone's listening preferences are different and very personal. The Z623's are most defintely THX Certified otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to make such claims as it would be misleading and deceptive.

It could be the music source that was used to demo the speakers but it always disappoints me when I demoed it. I think the problem is Logitech speakers does not have bass and treble control just volume and subwoofer.

No worries, enjoy the product you bought, as we said sound is so personal and everyone sees/hears thing's differently. We'll go back to dreaming of the day every house in the world has Logitech speakers and nothing else :-P
