EDIT For the record, I think these programs do nothing but slow the computer down with boot-time scans, but some people swear by them so I thought I'd put the prices in /EDIT

    TuneUp Utilities 2012 $18.95 (from $49.95)

    TuneUp Utilities 2012 Business Edition [5-PC] $34.95 (from $83.95)

IObit Advanced SystemCare PRO 5 $19.95 (from $49.95)

    Auslogics Bootspeed 3-PC $14.95 (from $49.95)

Uniblue PowerSuite 2012 includes DriverScanner, RegistryBooster and SpeedUpMyPC $19.95 (from $119)

EDIT2 Moxx - feel free to copy-paste this and edit it into the original post.

I know this awesome guy from Microsoft who controlled my mouse from his computer in India and he got rid of all these viruses he said were on my computer and he tuned it up with TuneUp Utilities 2011 and now it is running supa fast! It only took him over night and he only charged my credit card $10. Phew, I thought it would have been more expensive! It's funny though, I sometimes see my mouse courser moving by itself still?

P.S. I find it extremely stupid that a company like PC Authority would back this kind of shit software. People need to wake up, do research or bend over!

    • Are you serious? Disable remote access on your computer! Install a firewall, antivirus, sandbox…. guessing your joking though…
Tuneup utilities 2011 always ran in the background it's a system hog, while it may do some good things it's mostly bloatware with reg cleaners and various other reg defrags, history cleaners etc that can be downloaded for free from freeware devs. Also msconfig>startup>disable unnecessary items booting (if you know what you're doing) = wow tuneup utilities is soooo fast using windows built in tools :|

Almost all magazine reviews are BIASED. They survive from advertisements!

  • I quite like this software for a couple of reasons (I have the 2010 version; free from a posting here a few months ago). It provides good versions of those usual utilities you can get for free - but all in one place. It provides excellent disk cleanup utilities. When I switched my hard drive to an SSD, I wanted to clear out as much as possible, and this easily removed 12GB+ of files, with information about what was to be removed - and nothing it has done has caused me any problems (as far as I know). Just my two cents.

You know Windows has a clean-up utility that comes for free?
