Great price. Amazing keyboard. I bought it for $140 a few months back. I love the feel of the green switches.

If you live with someone who doesn't like loud typing sound, it's better to get orange or yellow switches as the typing sound is really loud especially at night time.

      GREEN IT IS.

  • Thanks OP. May I pm this with JB?

No harm in asking, but keep in mind that this is coming from overseas and that there is a delivery charge unless you have a paid membership, so that will reduce your chances. Not to mention you are asking them to price match $124 on an item they charge $299 for. Chances are probably very slim.

      • Thanks mate :)

I tried 2 days ago, no luck :( maybe you might be fortunate enough though. (ussually they wont sell below staff discount which is 30-60 percent depending on what item, this being over 60 percent) I reckon you could push it to 170 and they might oblige if you don't want to wait.

      • Thanks mate :)

        • just get the amazon deal

you won't get a good price at jb

          • @pinkybrain: I just got back from JB hifi, they price matched for me. Had one left in stock, the dude went upstairs to find it, came back down and realised the one that they had in stock is the display item :'( Just ordered from Amazon.

Dude said they have just started price matching to Amazon AU. He didn't check if it was AU stock, just agreed to the price match.

Wish it was yellow switches dang.

    • hate my yellow…. the attenuation is too sensitive.

  • I've had this keyboard for just over a month, keys repeating themseleves espcially after ctrl+c and crtl+v. Unfortunately unable to find a fix :(

I have orange and green, both great, orange probably a bit better for quicker typing.

Delivery kills it for me , 30$ delivery!!!! i have used trial prime as well.

What's the difference between orange/yellow and green switch?

Razer Green, like MX Blue - Clicky
Razer Orange, like MX Brown - Tactile, not clicky
Razer Yellow, like MX Red - Linear

Definitely research the switches you want before buying a mechanical keyboard.

thanks a lot mate for explaining , yeah seems more research is needed :)

  • Just ordered this one, looking forward to seeing how it goes coming from a cheap Cougar "semi mechanical" keyboard. Bit worried about the orange switches and my missus cracking the shits though haha. Just couldn't pass it up at this price.

For those of you wondering differences between the switches -

  • Thanks OP. Bought one previously when it was $144 ish. Bought another one for my colleague as he liked mine so much :)
    Merry Christmas!

EDIT: I'm now looking out for a full size wireless mech to use at work. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • I have the one without number pad. keyboard has one issue that the secondary keys like: !@#$:" are not illuminated.

  • I just got my yellow switches one on sunday. Loving it so far as it is my first mechanical keyboard.

It isn't as silent as i expected but it feels so good. I am not sure how loud green but damn it might be annoying if you are speaking on the phone or in a workplace.

    • Im waiting for another good deal on yellow then going for it!

      • +1

my main complaint with the keyboard is the secondary words aren't illuminated by the rgb. !@#$%^&**( these ones (or maybe i haven't figured out how to turn them on)

This makes it hard for me when i try to swear online in a dark room #@!$@#$!@#$@!%@#^$#

apart from that, its really comfy with the soft pad and has a usb and audio hole on the side of the keyboard. Also have a razer mouse plugged into it and it syncs with the colour of my keyboard.

        • do you have pic of the entire keyboard to see how the illumination looks for the keys that have it and the ones that don't?

also any audio recording of the loudness of the keys?

  • Way too loud! But feels good

    • +1

      that's what she said

  • I had this one with green switches but changed to orange switches as the green one is too loud for late night typing.

    • how much it cost to change the switches and where you got the switches?

      • I mean I actually returned the green one then bought the orange one when it went on sale. Pretty happy with the orange now.

  • CLACK or THOCK?

  • I wanna say go Green or GTFO…but it is really too damn loud. Bought the orange switches instead.

  • Great keyboard, bought during black friday (orange switch) and build quality does not disappoint.
Only negatives i can think for this keyboard is: the usb passthrough is still usb 2.0 and these come with abs not pbt keycaps.
    Great value overall.

  • +1

Just ordered one. I didn't NEED a new mechanical keyboard but I wanted a Chroma keyboard and the deal was good so… Merry Christmas to me! USB passthrough will come in handy.
Coming from Cherry MX Brown switches so I hope I find the green switches okay.
