be aware the $12.50 ratchet set is tiny.

    then again it's $12.50

see previous deal for mixed reviews.

Sometimes that's an advantage. I previously got this to keep in my work bag without being bulky and heavy.

I'd suggest reading the reviews on the Amazon page before considering the 91-piece set. Some issues there!

    • What issues?

      • +1

Did you read the reviews? Click “Go to Deal” and have a read. It’s pretty clear what the issues are. There’s even a review in German with some photos of broken bits.

        • You mean people cutting fingers getting the bits in and out?

Maybe the German one with the broken bits just had a bad batch.

At the 2 minute mark… did he say he dunked it in urine?

      • -8

        I don't know, haven't watched it.

      • Gear oil, but I think he must have gotten a dodgy one as mine definitely came lubricated and worked well. I saw later on he had difficulty using the direction switch and mine is easy to flick across so just a defect I think.

  • My rating is 6.5 / 10 for them.

    • +4

Is that in metric or imperial?

      • +3

        yes

          Underrated comment

  • Bought for fun

The Australian reviews for the 91 piece kit are the most accurate, I have this and overall the pieces in it are quite good, but yes they are hard to get out and then sometimes even harder to get back in, however, if you want a decent starter kit, this is great value

    • Does it include torx T40 bit?? I only need it with extension ratchet to open up my miele vacuum.

      • +1

Had to google what it looked like, but yeah it looks like it does.

        Took a crap pic https://ibb.co/X8yKH1L

        • Thanks for the pic! Is there a extension socket holder? Looks like that telescopic stick is only for sticking dropped pieces out?

          • @HLTT: No extension, just the standard screwdriver size socket holder.

            • +1

@SuperC: Ok I’ll keep looking, thanks mate

        • Don't be so hard on yourself.

Free next day delivery. Helloooo impulse buys!

    Nice case.

    Edit: back to $32?

    • Yep, from US

      • Mine says UK.

  • +4

    32.04?

  • Any good for bikes?

    • Yep. Bit too big to lug around fire trails tho.

  • The ratchet is tiny but still very usable and I love it for the fiddly little torx nuts on my VW. Easy to keep in a work bag, glovebox or otherwise for quick use, definitely worth it for the price.

  • I have struggled to make even a decent dent into one thin metal (I think it is stainless steel) using my metal bits. Even tired with hammer drill, but it seems to beat me. I have the aldi $99 kit of bits. I'm guessing it is an issue with the bit type, just wondering if someone could help confirm that this 91 pc kit would have the right metal bit to go through? Thanks

    • Easily made a hole on my new rego plate with the bronze coloured drill bits using my ozito hammer drill.

      • I've done holes in many metal things with my bits, just can't do this one type (I think it's stainless steel). Any help will be great

        • slow and lubricated. Having said that, I spent literally an hour trying to drill one hole into a steel stake. 4 drill bits later I got through but decided never again. I even used single purchase (insert fancy name) drill bit from bunnings. So may be you need fancier drill bits for some steel.
Needless to say 'hammer' function is NOT the answer.

    • Drilling in metal is tricky more faster you will go more hard some metals will get, trick is to use sharp HSS bits on slow speed with steady hands

  • Have the bottom one some times the ratchet function doesn't work, then starts again.

    • Yeah it completely broke on mine after around 6 months. Now it's locked so it's just a regular screwdriver. The metal drill bits are pretty crap and can snap easily. The wood ones are quite ok. It's quite versatile set but don't expect quality. I managed to convert a van with it so for 24$ (I paid that much) it was worth it.

  • There are some real bad reviews. Be careful.

  • Ratchets are back in stock, delivery is a bit longer than before it seems. Suspect they had a handful of cancellations as only 4 in stock?

1 item will be shipped to [ME]
    Estimated delivery: Dec 25, 2020 - Jan 6, 2021

  • Can anyone suggest a cheap $10 item to get the free delivery

  • Got the 91 bit kit. Can’t complain for the price. Looks quite good for odd jobs

  • 26 piece set arrived today - actually only contained 25 pieces. Missing the extension bit.

Can't get a replacement because they are out of stock.

    • Website say they have stock, try again

    • Checked on 24/12 and shows they have 4 in stock. Will they refund for the missing piece / incomplete set ?

      • +1

Only had UK stock at the time so they gave me a refund.

Contacted bosch directly to get the extension bit and they are sending me an entire set for free. Was very surprised.

  • does this drill bit set works with other branded compact drill?
