Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle with Game $249 @ Shopping Express Sale from 8pm AEST-9pm AEST Tonight

70

Shopping express is doing a 1 hour sale today for Xbox 360 Kinectic bundle. 8pm to 9pm AEST, it doesn't say its a 4GB model or 250GB model, but by the look of it I am assuming its a 4GB model, and not sure about getting the kinect $50 cash back promotion if we are buying from shopping square as I don't know they in the retailers list in australia for Xbox, shipping $17.95

Actual deal link is here, Epic hour sale was posted before when they did a sale on Iconia. So the system is not allowing me to put the link. So putting the actual reference link here, check back at 8pm, even its only 4GB still its the cheapest at the moment for a kinect bundle, without cash back. good luck as its with shopping square.

    • $249 pretty good price?

  • How big is the harddrive on this xbox and does this qualify for the $50 cashback from Microsoft?

    • 4gigs

  • Postage is $12 to Brisbane.

Seems pretty good, just ask if you can get the cash back first though.

  • is this eligible for $50 MS cashback?

    • Unsure… From the T&C's;

Eligible Australian retailers include, but are not limited to: EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, Kmart, Myer, Target, WOW and GAME. Purchases made from auction websites are not eligible for this promotion.

It's not an auction website, so it should be covered..

    • Microsoft does not specify what constitutes an "eligible retailer". They only specifically exclude auction sites. Bit of a risk, to be honest.

  • Should be eligible:

"Eligible Australian retailers include, but are not limited to: EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, Kmart, Myer, Target, WOW and GAME. Purchases made from auction websites are not eligible for this promotion."

    …however:

"Claims are not allowed on back-ordered products or products that are still awaiting arrival into store or delivery to the customer."

Don't know how the delivery thing works…so long as you have the receipt it should be ok?

    • +1

"delivery to the customer."???? I think it is clear that this deal does not eligible for $50 cashback. Thanks for pointing out

  • The cheapest so far is the HN sale, 4gb console with kinect for $296 and that with kinect adventure game and dance central game. So if shopping centre one is not eligible to get the cash back then its not gonna be the cheapest, but i think you can get cash back as far as we have a receipt, also shopping square doesn't mentioned its a 4GB or 250GB :)

  • Is it just me, but the pic seems to imply a glossy xbox 360 which suggests that it is the old 250gb model. With the cash back this would be an awesome deal.

Click on "buy now", and it takes you to the description page - "Comes bundled with XBOX (4GB)"

      • Yeah, just saw that thanks. But the pic is definitely not matte.

  • Confirmed, its 4GB, bottom of the description

*Kinect sensor and supported games coming November 2010. Console memory is internal flash memory — this is not a hard drive. Some games and Xbox LIVE features may require an additional hard drive (sold separately). Xbox 360 S console hard drives are the only hard drives that will work with this console. Xbox 360 Memory Unit accessories will not work with this console. Xbox LIVE Gold Membership and/or other subscription and requirements may apply for Xbox LIVE features.

    • Hi Heloan,

You probably did not try to buy - otherwise you will know we have quite some stock. We had 1 particular user manage to put 3 orders through. It is just that our new server seems to be able to handle huge traffic much better than before

  • Sold out already. Not that it matters because I wasn't going to get one because of the questionable eligibilty for cashback.

  • Good news: This is the first real test of our new server with such a Big product in our Epic. It seems our website can withstand HUGE traffic this time. Orders are coming in FAST and smoothly, and all stocks were cleaned up in 5 minutes. Bad news: our calculated stock did not withstand the onslaught.

  • Just out of curiosity how much stock you have? its funny when you are saying that it cleared out in 5minuts time. Next time don't put these sort of deals without proper stock so that we don't need to waste our valuable time.

    • So you saying we need 1000 stock for the whole hour?

      • Please understand this xbox360 epic sale was send to all our newsletters customers days before and it is not simply to just within the few hours of your posting. We have our existing customer jostling for these products too. I am not too sure about ozbargain community on this deal though as there are only 6 votes, but the demand is there for our customers.

    • We will however, try to source another batch of stock to give it another go, but no promise yet. And if we do get stock again, we will limit to 1 unit per account maximum. And the ones that got on previous deal, will not qualify for this again. Hopefully this can happen next week. The rate the stock goes was truly a bit out of our estimation on this deal.

  • Its like a catch of the day deal, having only a couple in stock and they advertise it as a big deal, when people try to buy for it it will sold out in 1 or 2 minutes. A deal should be like last time HN a or JB done for the Xbox, there was no shortage of stocks, nobody complained against stock level. Yours is just time was, anyway I appreciate you did gave us an explanation, so let see hows your next deals goes and will you get our faith again on your deals.

    • Well said

  • Damn, missed out. Hopefully next time…

Can the rep please confirm if they are eligible for the $50 cashback from Microsoft? Thankyou.
