      I have a 3700X, it has 8 cores 16 thread.

      • thanks for letting us know

        • No worries.

With the 3080, it still struggle sometimes with Cyberpunk. Everything on full blast, highest quality.

    • My 6 core i5 cpu (with a 1080 gpu) has been handling it fine (no noticeable dips in fps in the city), in case there's any people with a 6 core who don't have the game yet who are sweating nervously at this.

  • Was looking to buy this game.

    Don't would be my advice

    • -1

They'll definately patch it in time. It'll only get better from here.

      • +3

Ok, so i'll buy it when its patched, why would I buy a broken game now in the hope that its fixed in the future.

        • If you are okay with waiting and maybe occasional spoilers from reading, memes or people talking about it. Sure. Nothing is stopping you from buying a game that is 1 or more years old either.

That’s how I did it for some games I’m not that interested in, like that most recent shadow of Mordor game, I’m waiting for it to hit under $10. Not in a hurry. Don’t miss it if it never comes to that price. #patientgamer

  • -3

what a rubbish game. first 10 hrs is okay but after then you will face a lot of bugs, crashes and stupid npcs on the street. this game copied lot of GTA's ideas which was released about 8 yrs ago but its AI and system is worse than GTA's. It won't be getting better even they would do 100 times patches because developers from witcher3 are all gone.

    • heard so many call it a bad gta, but it's an rpg. more akin to fallout/skyrim and I think it raised the bar in comparison to those games.

      • -2

gta also have rgp measure. characters develop their skills and level up. Certain items can't be used until certain level reached. enemy and character got energy bars and stamina bars and there are items to refil those. There is no barrier these days on dividing genres on games, now they just mix everything. CDPR insists Cyber 2077 is not like GTA but they already copied so many ideas from GTA and put them into their rubbish game which is cyberpunk 2077. Driving cars is shit and mini map keeps disappearing on ultra wide resolutions. Polices are dumb-asses and ruining away for just 30 sec, they disappear. Cyberpunk is not a GTA so pls dont compare with it? that is just a bullshit. lol

  • +5

Paid $40 the other day using the Russian workaround. Played 30 mins and haven't touched it again. Received two updated since.

    Back to Warzone it is!

    • +1

Same here. Very underwhelming and overrated. I feel GTA V is miles ahead.

      • +2

depends on what you like - its nothing like GTA and ppl should stop comparing the 2
I would LOVE if it didnt have bugs and crap - IMO ill play it again with my 3090 when I can pick one up for cheap :)
hopefully they fix it by then but AI and other things cant be fixed by patches i dont think
sad to see this game out in this state

      • -2

Its almost like GTA and CP77 are two entirely different games that do different things well

i was disappointed that Red dead redemption didnt have any sportscars or bowling in it

      • Yeah there's a million videos on YouTube that would agree.

    • Cyberjunk 2077!

  • Just wait until the game is finished.
Apparently out of Beta by the end of February. It might come bundled with a bonus price drop for the people that didn't preorder too.

PC runs great, 5th large patch out already. Really enjoying this game. running on 3600X with 3070, running 4K@60fps medium settings great with RTX off.

Video attached, show effects of settings and which to use, use these, hard to spot between med and ultra if set correctly

    • why’d u want to drop rt on a rt supported graphics card?

      • +2

        25% tax on FPS.

Have a look at the video, rt vs bloom effects. Non rt lighting is still pretty good. rather better detail and FPS

        • thanks, i’ve seen this vid. I meant to say i wouldnt use a rt capable card with rt turned off specially if it’s newest gen card. if you’re fps focussed i’d try turning down bit of details for balanced rt.

          just fyi;
i’m playing 1440p on 27” monitor with quick preset’s balanced rt settings 30-40fps on rtx 2060

          • +1

            @kaleidoscope: Thats surprisingly good on a 2060.

All boils down to personal preference really, whats good about PCs. Can custom the way you want to play. I was a 1080p@120hz player but 3070 enables smooth 60fps 4K. Hard to go back, I play on my TV. I'm sensitive to FPS dropping in action since counter strike days. So rt is lower priority for me.

1.05 added the "ryzen fix" so good bump in performance

One of many forum threads running to thousands of posts discussing the horrible, game-breaking crashes many PC players are experiencing.

        CPU; Intel 920

        Seriously?

60hrs in and been fine, not playing on a decade old dorito though

  • +3

Supposed to be the best game ever.
Ended up the biggest fiasco in history.

    • +3

Umm, have you forgotten about Fallout 76? Now that's a fiasco haha.

    • +1

pfft.. heaps more worser fiascos in gaming history. This one actually came out to begin with rather than vapourware and secondly, it plays well but a bit buggy and glitchy. Thirdly the main "problems" are people with lower end machines.

      • -2

So optimisation issues are gamers' fault because they dont have a rtx 3080?
        Cool story.

        • Read the comments. You don't need a 3080.. Most people are doing find at high settings even on four year old 1060's and 1070's. I've seen it run on 760's fine at medium/low.

This is for the PC version BTW.. the console versions are an issue for sure considering the PS4/XBone hardware design is 7-8 years old.

    • -1

Someone forgot about the micro transactions fiasco that WB pulled with the lotr game?
Or the Diablo micro transaction auction house fiasco?

Or some other shit game (I don’t want to even mention that game) that was launched literally unplayable on the PC and the second series actually was better in ratings by default?

Seriously people need to get their history right before claiming c2077 is anything up there. It is bad, but nothing compared to what I mentioned above.

People need to stop preordering shit.

      • Nope. None of them was hyped as much as cyberpunk 2077. So cyberpunk 2077 is still the biggest disappointment in history. The game literally has been recalled from the stores.

        • Disagree. Those games I’ve mentioned was hyped up just as much if not more since they were from bigger publishers.

You choice of words was interesting, was there a recall for the PC one as well?

Since you claim it’s the biggest disappointment in history (imo another grand claim) onus on you to prove it.

        • Exactly. I am a casual gamer and never really heard about those Fallout, Diablo or whatever game. But have been seeing and hearing about CP everywhere for the last 1 year. CP is the biggest disappointment in history.

  • hmmmm…. maybe worth it just for the naked T posing … nhaaaaaat

  • My PC is 2yo and it's running fine.. 1080(non-ti). A few minor glitches which don't affect the game at all. I just shrug and move on. Playing at high/high @ 1440

    • I have a ti - play 1440 p no visual issue or game crashes but game is full of crappy bugs that take enjoyment out if it after some time…when you drive out of the city is VERY unfinished there…cars just disappear off the road few things like that which are vey disappointing

  • Also runs fine on my laptop

    i7 gtx1060

  • +3

Just told my friend about this deal and he replied "That's great, do you get a free can of Mortein with it for all the bugs?" 😆

  • Would everyone be so understanding if EA published this game? Doubt it, but the deception is the same.

    • +1

Would everyone be so understanding if EA published this game?

They're getting absolutely roasted though. Being pulled from the Playstation store by Sony is massive and very rare.

    • +2

I don’t think people are being overly understanding. Sony has pulled the game, MS has warnings prior to purchase and countless other retailers or channels are weighing in and being critical or warning people not to buy the game. There’s hundreds of videos out there mocking issues with the game.

Sure, some people are playing and enjoying it still which is to be expected, but having the game de-listed from digital platforms due to performance is close to unprecedented. There also does appear to be a large gap between PC and previous gen consoles, so people are being impacted to various degrees.

I think they’re copping it harder than EA did for Anthem which might be close to next in line for biggest AAA launch failures in recent times.

  • +1

game feels so empty, basically a phone call simulator. Finding myself playing it less and less. Havent even finished the story yet

    • +2

maybe trying playing the story since thats kinda the main point

also do side missions not side gigs. Gigs are for crunching cash. there are good gigs and each one is unique that adds a bit of lore to the world. but repetitive in terms of gameplay. the side quests are what you want

my reccomendation is to do the panam, judy and Takemura ones. then River and finally Rogue/jonny
Takemura is the best character that you'll like, which surprised me

      theres some absolute gems there

theres 2 nice neo noir themed side gigs that you will enjoy albeit short

tons of easter eggs and references. i found Tony starks cave out in the desert for example, near a trailer resembling breaking bad

the main story mission could be longer but takes you all over the city.

The johnny missions are absolutely baller and the romance options are limited but decent if you like to thirst after virtual characters

and i havent even gotten to the 7 endings which can be gut wrenching

im kinda annoyed people making judgements about the whole game just because the open world aspect is lacklustre. give the campaign a go end to end since its a SP game and thats the whole point

      • Yep, I'm now 40 hours in and so far I've really enjoyed the main story and side missions.

        theres some absolute gems there

Dream on, The Hunt and Sinnerman have been absolute standout side quests and are extremely well written. I'm really hoping that if there's future DLC, they keep going with Dream On. The Hunt was just plain old freaky and was an awesome use of brain dance.

tons of easter eggs and references

The portal glados reference during the Delamain quest was a nice touch.

Zero crashes/freezing so far but admittedly I'm using a high end rig. A couple of bugs (nothing game breaking): random floating weapons, t poses when driving sometimes, vehicles getting launched into the sky

Having an absolute blast with the game at the moment. It really opens up once you get a few level and perk points to get your build going. Oh and Double jump is essential. It's also the best looking game I've played (clinches RDR2) - the world is gorgeous.

        Things I don't like:
        - inventory management
        - phone calls to buy cars cluttering my map
        - mini map zoomed too far in when driving

  • +1

I'll wait the patches to come and maybe buy around april next year. I reckon they will iron out the kinks by then. I remember games like dishonoured 2 which sucked on most machines at launch

  • +1

I've had a floating cigarrete, Jackie stagnated with open arms, rubbish flying around on loop mode, npc talking with mouth closed but having a good a$$ time.

  • I'll wait until the price is much lower, who do they think they are to charge so much for bugs, Bethesda? lol

To be fair if they improve performance and get rid of the bugs I'll be happy to play it.

    • Ps5 here, loving it. Clearly not a complete game, but still very fun, and story is really awesome, and it's huge

      • The story sounds like a blast, I'm just waiting until they polish it up, then I'll have a go at it.

I was really hyped before it launched, but disappointed that it wasn't up to scratch on release. I would have preferred it to be delayed more to give it the attention that it requires.

        • -1

The things that are wrong at the core will never be fixed, just like Witcher.

          • @onlinepred: For me who hasn't played you need to explain further.
I was sold on the single player story in the bits shown before release and once all the annoying bugs and performance fixes have been released I will consider having a go.

            • +1

@Cartman2530: Things can spawn in strange places, like cars or people. This happened in the Witcher and was never fixed. Hand to hand combat feels like an afterthought. Animation of NPC is rigid at best. 90% of the city is buildings you can't get access to. Pathfinding is jerky, sometimes broken, and even non existent for NPC drivers.

The story is still fantastic, the environment can be very engaging. I can easily out up with its flaws, but it's no game changing game by a long stretch.

  • +5

I played through most of the game fine. Some bugs here and there but nothing game breaking, just silly glitches. I played for around 70 hours and did lots of side quests and exploration and got to the last mission of the main story and decided to stop there to complete side missions and take my time with other things incase I lost interest after the main game finished. This was then game breaking bugs kicked in.

After doing some more side quests suddenly breaching/quickhacking made enemies invincible. They just won't die if I use any hacking on them beforehand. Their health goes down to zero but they just keep on coming like T1000's. Even headless bodies. So hacking's now out. Pinging alerts everyone to where you are and puts them in combat mode which defeats the purpose. Jumping into walls can occasionally fling me off several hundred metres in a random direction. Melee can randomly throw me through walls and ceilings. side quests are bugged and won't trigger to start or can't be completed.. the list goes on and on. Everyone encounters different issues and once they start, they just don't stop and many are game breaking.

It also started to run like $#!t and drop in frames by a lot in many areas. Keep in mind it was running perfectly fine with high FPS on Ultra for the first 70+ hours with only a few bugs and glitches.

It became unplayable so I had to go back to an old save just play the game through to the end and found that save had corrupted too which is another issue they have now admitted. So I ended up going with an even older save just to complete the main story. I won't go back until the game is fixed properly. The main problem is that there's just no way of knowing how it will run for each person even with the same specs as it is inconsistant as F and once the bugs start it just snowballs. The number and range of issues encountered by people are so varied and random that it will be another six months to a year before the game is where it should have been for everyone.

The game was decent enough when it worked but not up to expectations. It was very clearly rushed out and felt somewhat hollow. Some parts were good and a lot of other stuff was half-baked. Don't get it now. Wait until the price drops which will be a lot sooner than people think.

    • I'm still playing through the story, nothing game breaking so far.

I think I have experienced your T1000 issue, but it wasn't a mission critical target. I decided to attack this random gang member on the street, this guy is invincible, I tried 3 times, can't kill him for some reason, so I gave up and loaded a previous save and moved on.

  • -1

2020 has been nightmare. 1st TLOU2 and now this Cyberpunk 2077. whats next?

    • +1

      TLOU2

How is this a nightmare? It’s a really good game. It may not be everyone’s favourite ending but it shows clearly that there’s two side to each story. loved the story as well as ending

  • +8

Here's my garbage tier review while the misso gets ready that posted in the complete wrong area like a dork

In terms of bugs on PC, I have not come across any game breaking bugs but there are still TONS of little bugs that are annoying. Phones walking around in mid air, bodies exploding when I drop them (to hide them), bizarre enemy behaviour, teleporting Police force, cars and random city NPC's constantly disappearing and reappearing, random insta-deaths when I am in cover or jump across to something and loot that isn't able to be picked up/falls through the floor. These are very common bugs and happen in most sessions.

They are however minor, and I can happily live with them if I only get them once or twice a session. I am having fun with the game, but I also didn't read much about it in the last few years and wasn't really hyped at all for it (I purposefully decided not to read about much of it).

    Pros
    -Great weapons, huge variety
    -Excellent melee combat with blades
-Pretty violent, chop off heads, blow holes in people, dismemberment etc.
    -Interesting and fun cyber enhancements
-Good RPG aspect, lots of skills and LOTS of attributes to choose from
-Fun characters, beautiful face capture, good voice acting
-I am really liking Keanus character, adds a lot to the story
-I haven't had a single crash or freeze in 50 hours of gameplay.
-Top tier music and music design.
-large map, city is crowded and really busy and there is quite a deep 'lore' as you progress
-Harder difficulties are reasonably challenging (especially very hard)

    Cons
-City is a bit stale and boring. I sort of expected it to be way MORE cyberpunk than it is. It's more like a mix of modern life and cyberpunk aesthetic is that makes sense. Deus Ex HR/MD tends a bit more 'all in' on the aesthetic imo which I appreciate.
-City is quite un-dynamic. Much like GTA, NPC's are robots and randomly generated. You can't interact with them apart from one line (press F). They don't really react when you bump them like in GTA though. THe city is supposed to be a violent hell hole but every NPC just does the old "hey watch it!" and keeps moving no matter what.
-Gunplay is ok, better than GTA but not mindblowing or anything. Combat isn't boring though, just nothing revolutionary at all
-Weapons feel different but their alternative fire is kinda boring. It doesn't change them drastically at all, in fact it barely changes what they do
-Apparently there is a LOT of cut content. You can't do up your cars, or romance every person, or do drugs or buy apartments around the city etc. This didn't bother me as I didn't follow what was promised, but might bother those (rightly so) who were hyped.
-Bugs, plenty of them and noticeable but minor visual bugs mostly.
-AI is dumber than a box of hammers. It's about as standard as you can get, enemies stand out of cover for easy sniping, melee grunts charge you in the straightest line possible. No difference in AI behaviour between different enemies either. A stock standard street gang recruit with a kitchen knife is going to the same thing as a an elite corpo cyberninja with an electric katana. Same goes for gun toting enemies
-No flying cars (I gotta admit, I was kinda bummed about this after seeing a ton of these flying around the city all the time)

I am really enjoying the game so far though, but it's not going to revolutionise gaming or open world gaming like folk had hoped (as it stands).

This is just my opinion, but the modern Dues Ex games (HR and MD) do a MUCH better job of portraying a cyberpunk world in almost every way, from aesthetics to sound design, AI interaction, RPG mechanics and combat and the OG Deus Ex has a better story

I don't know where I'd put it in terms of open world games, maybe mechanically on par with GTA 5? Some things are done much worse than GTA, somethings are much better. Considering GTA came out in 2013 I expected a bit more from the AI and combat in Cyberpunk2077 tbh.

  • -4

Crashes repeatedly. Couldn't get past intro.

    • +2

This is for PC not console. I just finished the game with 60 hours or so and didn't crash once.

      • Well @nagrom might run the game using PC from early year 2K lol…

Yikes… Just remembered need to upgrade to play CP77… that's how it seems… Lol

      • Congrats to you. My PC runs it fine, but crashes after the intro sequence.
I'm hardly the only one with issues on PC unrelated to performance, but I'm glad you are happy and satisfied with the game.

  • So which platform has the least bugs?

    • +3

      PC.

  • -4

Not fit for purpose / not as described.

  • How are the next gen consoles handling it?

    • Better than previous, but the game is still full of game breaking bugs for me on xbox series x and have got a refund from amazon.

    • Runs super smooth on PS5 but my copy and many others crashes consistently every 1-2 hours of gameplay. Game is full of bugs and a lack of polish worse than release day Bethesda titles, but the gameplay and essence of the game is still great and really enjoyable. I have put my copy down for a few weeks because the constant crashing was starting to get to me, so hopefully it is patched out before I finish up with Demon's Souls.

  • +1

    Fun game
    Good price
any bugs i have found im sure it will be patched

  • Works fine for my PC.. but I'm on a RTX2080 with 48GB RAM and all. Yeah, bit glitchy

Would I buy it for original $99 price? No.
Would I buy it for CDKeys $64 price? No.
Would I buy it at the Russian GoG price $37? Yes, definitely.

  • -1

I'm sure it will be in the bargain bin soon enough

  • sorry but i'm enjoying my codex version

  • For anyone looking to running it on linux, it works alright via proton now. A couple notes to get started:

    • force the proton version to Proton - Experimental
    • For AMD GPUs, install/compile the latest version of mesa (2.1, or mesa-git in some package managers). For Nvidia, install the latest proprietary drivers 455.xx.
    • if you get crackling audio and are using pulseaudio, try set the env var PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=40
    • i had trouble running with the launcher, but you can skip it with the option --launcher-skip

    https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4450

I've running ryzen 2600/5600xt and get 50-60fps at 1440p on medium settings.

And since everyone else is, I'll give my meaningless review: the FPS action/story stuff is pretty good, the open world/driving/rpg/sim stuff (or lack thereof) is disappointing. Looks great in still photos, a bit janky in motion (mostly NPC animations are bit too "gamey", looked way more fluid/lifelike in the "gameplay" trailers). Still, mostly fun though :)

    • So is it like a good looking movie with story but average game play?

      • Gameplay is still good on the combat side and the main and some side missions are mostly well done, but not so good on the RPG or open world front.

  • It’ll be $29 soon , even behind the bugs and glitches there is no game

  • Bugs will get patched but whether they'll implement all the missing features is anyone's guess. Wait and see, buy for $20 this time next year and get something closer to a finished product.
