Good deal, but 3 hours ago this deal was even better According to OzBargain post it was $104.99

Was looking at the same one and boom it was gone. Interesting to know what's caused the price increase in a few minutes.

      • There was coupon coming up which was not supposed to

Just an FYI, the standard Raspberry case that comes with the 4 is terrible with airflow and heat-dissipation, so you might want to think about getting a fan or a different case altogether

    • Yep. This. The case included in this sucks. I recently got a metal heat sink style case… It's great. ~$25 on Amazon

yeah I've looked at all the best cases and "Premium Case" didn't come up. The FLIRC case and the NEO have about the same cooling ability without a fan, much better than other cases as the case itself is a proper heatsink. Pi gets HOT even when just opening a PDF, it is bonkers, but the real issue is that it throttles when it gets too hot. NEO case without a fan is a bit cheaper than FLIRC and arguably cooler looking, plus you can easily access the IO, not that most people would ever want to. From what I remember reading a fan isn't really necessary, the cooling of those heatsink cases is already quite good.

And so long as you are buying your Pi piecemeal, consider the 8GB version.

Core Electronics ships fast and is an authorized Australian reseller and I think they are almost the cheapest for everything https://core-electronics.com.au/brands/raspberry-pi-australi…

    • If it was just running pi-hole, would the case become a heat issue?

      • +1

Better off buying a cheaper Pi Zero for that. No heat issues.

      • +3

If you only want to run a pihole I'd save a few bucks and get something a lot less powerful. Even a Pi Zero would do for that.

OP, is there a code for 8GB Ram version?

  • It says the fastest Raspberry Pi which would have been true half a year ago, but actually the Raspberry Pi 400 keyboard is faster.
