Lightning deal, expires at 11:39 pm today.
I have the original brown one of these for my nintendo switch.
Works wonders using a dualshock 4 on the switch.
The biggest weakness of this adapter is it cannot pair more than one controller at a time.
This playstation classic version is the same as the brown ones, just in silver.

Here's a video on what you can do with it.
Apparently works with a bunch of controllers like the wii controllers too.

  • That is a great design. I wish I had a flash drive that looks like that.

So this is basically just a Bluetooth adapter? I'd still buy it for that design

    • It's an adapter that allows you to use third party controllers on a nintendo switch.
PS4 controllers on switch, Xbox controllers, even Wii controllers.
You can use this on a pc however its not worth it for pc, its mainly for nintendo switch.

DualSense works also for those curious; has replaced my 8-Bitdo as my Switch's main these days :D

      • May I just ask why it's not worth it for PC? It seems to do a stellar job linking my dualshock 4 wirelessly to the PC. Am I missing something?

        • +1 use it for the same, perfect!

It's not worth it for pc mainly because since most modern controllers are bluetooth enabled, pretty much means you can use bluetooth directly instead of relying on a receiver. So you don't need to buy an accessory if you're using it on pc.

@kkkkkkkat: Oh right, my pc doesn't have a receiver so I'm pretty sure this is cheaper. This works perfectly fine with my Dualshock 4 on PC.

Edit: For people who want more details to connect a Dualshock 4 to PC, watch out for buying cheap dongles, some just don't work at least for controller use, so you can end up wasting 5 bucks on something that doesnt even work.

            • @sofasty: Second this. 5 dollars dongle not worth your time to return them. Even it actually connects, latency is another issue.

  • Missed it, looks interesting

  • Still available but up to $27 atm…

  • I wanted this for retro pi because it seemed to be the most fuss free way to connect controllers. iirc you just hold the sync button like you would on a xbox.

    • It is fuss free, however you can only connect 1 controller at a time.
Hopefully we'll see 8bitdo releasing an upgraded version that deals with that weakness in the future.

      • Pi does have four USB ports, but they are so close to each other that probably only one of these would even fit at a time.

  • You can usually get these for around $25 on eBay. Got mine here….

  • Using this for xbox controller on the switch. Way better than the FLAT joycons with no grips.

    • Latency seems bearable.

    • No NFC reader tho. Or Hd rumble.

      • Yea sadly. But I do game on pc too, so the dongle is plug and play for me if I wanna switch platform.
