    Depends which xiaomi/roborock model. The latest roborock s6maxv is around $1000 and has obstacle detection which this one doesn't, but doesn't have a self emptying station which this one does. The s6maxv also has mopping which the roomba doesn't, but the roomba can work in tandem with the braava jet, which is probably the best robot mop on the market at the moment. The ecovacs deebot t8 aivi has an optional self-emptying station and comes with an oscillating mophead which is apparently quite good, but is closer to $1300. you can check out pretty good, objective comparisons of performance of all these different brands/models on the vacuum wars youtube channel.

        the self empty station isn't a big deal for me personally, one too many times it'll suck up coins or something and it uses those annoying vac bags, i would rather just use their transparent dustbin and see and easily removed if required

        no worries.. picked up the T8 AIVI with the oscillating mop attachment for $999 at JB (using discounted gift cards, which saved me another $50). I got the self emptying bin from godfreys as well for extra autonomy/laziness. Pretty happy with it so far.

  Price matched at Joyce Maine. JB said no. Harvey Norman said no. Might not arrive till January. Added 2 year replacement warranty all up $1818. Had to do a 10% deposit today.
