  • Does it have a quick line release?

    • It doesn't.. But the spool has an automatic feed which generally means it's as easy as pulling the line.

  • How long does the battery last?
Are they cheap for a second?

I’ve been waiting for a good cheap petrol one. So I don’t have to deal with batteries.

    • Last me at least 20mins of continuous use. I actually get enough juice to use the trimmer then transfer the battery for the blower. I had petrol before and never looked back. I only have a small lawn though.

    • You'd rather deal with the noise / fuel of one of those things, really?

I've had a WORX 40v trimmer for 6yrs and counting, same battery. I also have a WORX mower, had it for 3yrs, same deal. Share the batteries between the two, still going strong. People must treat their stuff badly perhaps?

Why not search the internet for advice on this particular model.

  • 20V - is this going to crap out every 2 minutes?

I have this model past 4 years. still original battery and going strong.
Only issue is its not strong to do the lawn edging .
Thinking to get a petrol one just for edging.

Ugh I’m so lost. I got a (battery powered) whipper snipper from Masters before it closed & now can’t get parts for it (kobalt)

Would this do the trick? Is it a good brand? It is the cord type not the stupid plastic blades?

    • +1

I have this and the one with the "stupid plastic blade". Both will do the job. I find this takes a bit longer than the "stupid plastic blade" version which seems sturdier when it comes to cutting thicker grass.

LOL… i can relate having those ‘stupid’ plastic blades was a pain. To think it takes an effort to attach one of those in and takes only a second to get dislodged if it hits something harder than a grass.

I use a universal line trimmer and works well.

    • That was a good price.

  • Thanks OP had bought the Ozito bundle for 99 .. returned that and bought this one instead.. Every review I read mentioned the original plastic blades were great but the replacements were crap and those blades cannot be changed with any other brand…At least with this I do not have to buy their proprietary brand of reel.

    • Absolutely.. I have that crappy Ozito with it’s stupid proprietary blades and it’s a hassle to use when it dislodged. This one is way better.
