It was discounted few days ago at $694 with the $5 off code, the $30 off code got updated and is now working again.

The price is very decent but the backorder waiting period is very long, I was told first batch will arrive in Feb.

If you are not in hurry,at this price I say it worth the waiting, if you can't wait, the discount at JB is not bad for this scooter. I would wait tho.

    Only about 12 there. Interesting that they said those are for pick up. I bet those were not the first 12 orders they received either and they gave those to pick ups to save on shipping.

      Another poster said he saw 20 or so going to mail room when going to pick up his unit, so they could mean couriers pickup… I offered to go get mine since I'm local but they declined.

      Really going on a limb here trying to give them the benefit of the doubt even despite all the mounting evidence against them :)

  Newest update, stock delayed until the end of March and not all orders will be fulfilled. This is getting ridiculous, has anyone actually got their scooters?

    After refund I went to JB Hifi and bought there, though not for these prices… kind of glad I did though. First Max stopped charging after 310km, they swapped it out for a new one. Second one had dry front bearing out of the box, it did ride OK for 280km but with local stock available again they swapped it out for a new one. So in a month I'm on No.3 …

    Now normally these are supposed to be reliable, but having to deal with the above with a remote internet store would of been a major pain in the backside!

    Having returned two of these as faulty through JB Hifi, and dealing direct with Segway customer service on the second one, it might also be worth checking the warranty status of those should anybody ever get one. They are not listed as an authorised reseller and given the time delays if they are getting any stocks I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s grey import.

  thanks guys, I am going to get a refund after hearing the stories of warranty problems, and trying to deal with this company would not expect to be able to easily make a claim. Notice how they don't say how many have been ordered in each batch?

    Didn't get either of my refunds until I took action via the payment processor, once that was done and they were alerted to this the refunds were very quick.
