  • NOTE - Code is targeted and once off only. I've used mine on some other purchases…

    • Ah so it is targeted. Thanks, added to the description.

  • some said it is listing error should be just for 1 item ?

    • My purchase went through at $29.50. See what happens I guess.

    • That might have been me who said that but others who commented said it's actually for 2 units, so hope they're right.

This listing has been around for ages but myself (and others on OzB included) were always dissuaded and it seems like it's only for 1 unit but we never asked to confirm.

    • +1

Description is technically correct in that it has 2 USB ports (not two items)

  • "CyberPower 8 Way Outlet Surge Protector Power Board iPhone Charger USB Ports x2"

Not sure if meaning two USB ports or Two units.
Similar listings have Two x2 at the start of the title

  • +3

    I can only see one?

OP are you thinking it’s 2 because of the title? That will be USB x2 ports is how I read it.

    • Same seller with listing for one unit - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CyberPower-8-Way-Power-Board-Out…

Also there's a few posters that confirmed you get two units in the OP thread - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/594598#comment-9880908

I'm going to be whinging if I don't get two units.

edit: Contacted seller. Will report back.

      • you meant to give this link maybe, $25 each for 1 listing (but weird it has $14 shipping???) so this $39 for 2 seems legit
        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CyberPower-8-Way-Outlet-Surge-Pr…

        • Yeah they haven't put x2 on the end of the single board listings.

Also here's the correct link for confirmation of two units - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/594598#comment-9880533 (can't edit my comment with reply).

          • +1

@Shard: No one has confirmed that it's 2 units.

behrouz just linked the deal, did NOT confirm that it's 2 units.

xscape is just using deduction to assume that it's 2 units.

randomrandom doesn't understand how to read nested comments, and is confirming that the deal through the Shopping Express website ("se site") is 2 units (as opposed to the ebay link).

I hope it's 2 units, as I ordered it without even noticing! But absolutely no one has confirmed that to be the case!!!

            • -2

@caprimulgus: See luckylittle's comment at end of this post. Their website has two units for $39.50.

              Not definitive but promising.

              • @Shard: Jesus christ dude…do you know what confirmation means?

                • +2

                  @caprimulgus: THIS is confirmation:

Thanks for the message. The 'x2' indicates this power board comes with 2 USB ports. This listing is only for a single power board, not two and not part of a buy 1 get 1 free promotion.

                  • @caprimulgus: That doesn't look promising.

I haven't received a reply to my own enquiry post-order.

                    • +2

@Shard: Just got a message from seller via eBay:

Thanks for the message. We can confirm we will be sending out two power boards.

                      Whose nuts? Deeze nuts!

Always buy first, ask questions later. This is the way.

                  • @caprimulgus: They've also updated the item title so hopefully there's no confusion in the future.

                    • @Shard: I think you got lucky, they have no intention to sell 2 @ this price on eBay + included shipping

                    • @Shard: Ok, looks like management have changed their mind and have decided to honour it!

FWIW, the listing was definitely for one unit (confirmed by the seller and by the change in the title of the listing) - they are just choosing to honour it due to the confusion with the 2 for 1 sale running at the same time.

Good on them for honouring it! :)

  • -2

It is for one power pack

    • Who downvoted? Would love to see your x2 usb ports when it arrives…. I've ordered from this listing before.

  • +1

These are pretty average, I've found the power points are very loose and plugs fall out easily on both the ones I have

    • -1

same here, I have so many of these because I'm cheap but they're all very loose and spark and hate them.

Any recommendations? Might just invest in some decent power boards, if they're good they'll last and they're pretty important stuff anyway.

      • yes always worry when seeing spark…
any other has the same issue with this very item ? may skip then

        • I already have two and don't have this problem. I use the boards flat and am not changing plugs once set up.

        and
        https://www.amazon.com.au/L54222-Powertough-Metal-Powerboard…
        are both excellent quality 👍
I've replaced all mine around the house with a mix of these - i tried had various plastic units before and they were all terrible without exception !

        • the terrible ones, are they including those we can find in woolworths/coles? hmm but they are the same brand, jackson (the ones at coles and your link)

          • @CyberMurning: I didn't try any of the bargain basement ones - my plastic ones were mostly the large "home theatre" type that included USB ports, Ethernet and Antenna antisurge etc - all different makes and models but they all had crappy "crunchy" sockets and weirdly tight or loose hold on the plugs.

      • I ended up getting Belkin ones as well when they were on sale. Far better quality. Still using the Cyberpower for less important things

        • +1

oh that amazon sale long ago, right? yeah me too got that one but just one, now need few more

    • Yep, they were very hard to insert in the first place. Then two ports became loose as hell, and the power supply no longer constant.

      • hmmm that remind me of something inappropriate to say here lol….

  • For only one? Crap, I'm cancelling…

  • +1

    Doubt this is for 2..

    Deal in 2019:

CyberPower 8 Way Outlet Surge Protector Power Board $17 + Freight ($0 with Plus) @ Smarthomestoreau eBay

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482105

  • are you kidding me… out of stock

    • 1022 sales in 20 mins (2044 actual units?). Guess we're gonna find out about the two units one way or another lol.

  • +4

Most likely two units for this price as Shopping Express AU has the same deal:
    https://imgur.com/FW7ff6T

    • with Aus Post or Couriers ($11.41) to sydney

  • +3

This listing is for a single powerboard. Confirmed with seller.

Thanks for the message. The 'x2' indicates this power board comes with 2 USB ports. This listing is only for a single power board, not two and not part of a buy 1 get 1 free promotion.

    • sad….
but their own store is doing buy one get one as per lucky post.

    • If that's the case, I am cancelling it.

    • +5

Update: they are now honouring two units!

Our management has decided to send out two power boards per order only just earlier today. This decision was made after your order was already packed and you may let us know once you receive the power boards if you would still like a refund. Any new orders that haven't been packed yet are now being updated so two are being sent.

Again, the website's promotion and this listing's confusing title just coincided, and that we don't run these 2 for 1 deals on eBay. We are sending out two power boards as a gesture of good will.

+1 to them for honouring it!

  • ok so i still have the take10off voucher then..
what should i get.. hmmm still have 2 days to use

  • +3

if you got this hard to believe deal then from now please be nice and support shopping express they are local and good guys, and been in ozb for loooooooong time :)

    • I agree, good on them for honouring the deal.

  • +1

    Confirmed TWO power boards!

  • Just bought through another seller using the same voucher.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CyberPower-8-Way-outlet-Surge-Pr…

    • Same company. It's K S Computer. One or two units? Just out of curiosity

    • That one doesn't have the misleading headline so I doubt they will honor the 2 units like this one.
