Not as good as the previous deals on this PSU, but seems to be the cheapest at the moment.

Very good PSU, a classic choose for the quality.

Great range of powersupplies the RMx series. Currently using an RM850x. Great fan curve & quality product

Using the 750i variant with a GTX3080 and it's fine for my system, very stable.

  • Does it have a quiet mode? I assume it does, but just being sure

The fan doesn't kick in until about 300w.

I can't verify that claim because I cannot hear it all while gaming. In normal use it's silent.

      • Yeah mine has been silent, can't imagine ever being able to hear it over the case fans even when the fan spins up.

I used Corsair for my last build to go with a mATX build, it wasnt bad but now there are much better choices.
the equivillent model in EVGA is on special @budget pc for 149.00

Gold rated GA full modular, 750W.
    GA 750w usually went for 180 - 200 dollars, rm750x is usually 199 bucks.
it seems GA750w is a better bargain than this one in my opinion…

I don't think EVGA's GA power supply would be of the same quality as the RMx line. Typical equivalent would be the G2 or G3 line from EVGA. The GA might look like a bargain but it's worth going for quality on power supplies, so better to just wait for a good deal on the Corsair.

This is correct, the EVGA GA is worse and considered a Tier B whereas the Corsair RM is a Tier A.

as mentioned in below post, your link is linustechtips' "recommendation", and all of the model inside are 2019 models, G3 are all end of life already.
And in the post there is no mentioning of GA models from EVGA becasue this is an older post.

I have been using G3 model and Corsair Hx models (including the i) for few years, G3 are usually more expensive than Hx series because of the "hydrodynamic fans". And when RM series came out, they are much cheaper than EVGA G3 series and that kick EVGA out of the game by a lot.

since late 2019, they start to phasing out replced by new line up including GD, GA and GQ series. You can still find older models in USA, and G5 is still available on 1000W. The GD GA and GQ models are all priced after Corsair models (usually cheaper by 10 dollars without any promo).
and you can't really get G1,G2 and G3 anymore in Australia.

Anyway…let people decide if EVGA or Corsair are better, these two brands, no matter you like one of them or not, have very good reputation on their PSUs.
Getting either one of them, i don't think your actual powerdraw will be significantly different, and they usually out live your PC anyway.

Both Corsair and EVGA have 3 tiers of warranty in their lineup, 3, 5 and 10 years.
Both RM750X and GA 750W Supernova are 10 years warranty which is the top tier warranty period.

and one is 149 one is 199 free freight…
one is usually 180+ to 200 bucks, one is usually 199 free freight, you can decide which one is a better deal.

I have submitted the GA deal since no one has done it

        • Neither EVGA or Corsair make their own PSUs. The reason why the EVGA G2/G3 series were highly rated in the past was because they were made by Super Flower which is a highly rated manufacturer of PSUs in the enthusiast segment. More recent versions of EVGA PSUs have been made by other, less well regarded companies and hence the quality isn't as good as their G2/G3 PSUs.

EVGA GA series ditched Super Flower Leadex for a new Andyson platform that is unfortunately not at the same quality.

However, there are other options like the Bitfenix Whisper M (CWT GPU) for $149 and NZXT C750 (Seasonic Focus Plus) for $167 which achieve the same performance at lower prices.

  • Currently using Corsair VS650 can contest to the quality of Corsair power suppliers

  • Amazon Price History Average (since Nov 07, 2018): $195.75

So I guess it's technically lower than RRP, but this was $169 only a month ago, and I got my 850x for $175, so for those who can wait for a bargain, I would wait.

  • Currently using this, great PSU.

  • No love for Seasonic PSU?

  • Never get to see 850w for sale. Always trash 750

  • Would 750W be good enough for an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 5600x or should I wait for an 850W one?

    • Should be fine.

    • Deff fine.

People have been getting that kind of setup woking with a good 650W (I was looking into it for a potential ITX build).

So a good 750W like this would work fine.

    • I run my 3080 and 3700x on a RM650x
