Has 1.2A and 2.1A ports according to officeworks description

  • Item code is Jackson PTA772
    2 ports have 2.1A charging & 2 ports have 1.2A charging
Officework have the same unit, can try go there and price match? lol

    • It'll probably be sold out by the time you go there.
      Item code is PTA7724

      • Opsie, thanks for the correction

    • +5

The entire charger is rated at 2.1 amps
      https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61C3SwXZKhL.AC_SL1500.jpg

That means that if you plug in 4 devices each only gets 0.5 amps

  • +5

Thanks OP, picked up a couple in the hope that we will be able to travel outbound (even from NSW) in 2021.

Cashrewards seems to give you an extra $0.035/item discount too for those counting the post Christmas cash balance.

Thanks this will go great on my next.. international holiday..

    🙄

  • +8

Very useful, I was just planning my rescheduled 2020 holiday. For 2023.

    • -1

      That’s optimistic, try year 2077.

  • +5

Great to just use with the Aus plug, $2 can't go wrong for a bunch of ports around the house or as an easy gift :)

  • +1

Thanks got a couple, maybe in a few years that will be put to good use. Would make a good prank gift for the world travellers that are stuck at home.

    Don't forget shopback/cashrewards

  • +4

of course no stock at local store & $8 for delivery. Sighhhh.
good bargain if anyone can get it.

  • +4

Try pricematch at your nearest office works, I just placed an order with them via phone..

    • +4

      committed bargainer.
I want to but cant be bothered dealing with OW on new year's eve. haha
      But well done.

      • My local good guys store don't have stock.

Online team wants to charge $8 delivery from OW.

  • +3

be warned, I had x2 and they eventually died, very unreliable, was $37 each back then. but for $2, no complain :)

    • +1

its a lifetime warranty and they good with replacement. I did claim warranty years ago for my lifetime warranty powerboard.

      • +1

damn, I chucked them in the bin lol

  • +5

Thanks op. Got a few at $1.90 each from OW.

    • I called. They won't let me do it with the price difference being so high. Apparently, a pop-up came up on their end saying it needs to be checked with the "buyer" (not sure what they meant, but I assume he meant supplier), and then I'll get a call back. I say that's some BS right there.

      • +1

        They meant to say buyer.
It is the person responsible for buying and managing the relationship with the supplier.

        • Ok. Makes sense. Regardless, I've never encountered this before. They either price match or they don't.

          • @02LyW: they called me back after half an hour and put through the order

            • @Xc01567: thanks. I ended up getting the call back and was able to put the order through

              • @02LyW: How much did you pay? They charged me $9.50

                • @BinnyC: $1.90

                  • @02LyW: Can you please share your receipt if ypu dont mind so i can may be ask them to refund me the difference?
                    Which state you are in?

      • They should put this in their exclusions list

  • Which specific one is UK to AU?

  • +1

Thanks OP, got three that maximum I can order and postage 8, still a good deal!!

    • +1

You just convinced me to pay $8 shipping to save a 10 hour roundtrip.

      • +4

        Doesn't seem worth it

  • Good investment for the future…

  • I had two. They heat up and surge into your electronics. Be careful.

    • +1

How do you know that they surge into electronics?

    • Did you get a refund from The good guys?

  • +1

Reject Shop was selling a similar thing for $2-$3 if anywhere still has stock

  • +1

Wow. Way to give us one last slap in the face for 2020 😂

  • Probably too many stocks lying around because no one is travelling

  • Thanks OP. What a steal. Here's to hoping that I can actually use those in the not so distant future.

  • +3

These are also good to place in your desk as a desk charger (but they are a slow charger with 2.1a across all 4 ports)

You can get a figure 8 cable and plug it directly into the charger so that it doesn't need to be plugged into the wall.

  • just placed the order, but nothing come out in my order history nor email confirmation :(

    • purchased via ebay, now got message ready for pick up

  • +1

2.1A output for the entire thing, is $2 still worth it?

    • is that right. slow charging is so 1990

    • Probably help maintain the life of your devices battery with slow charging all the time.

    • Yeah, I have one from a while ago. Never use it as it's useless when charging more than 1 thing, and the blue light is annoying.
$2 is about the right price. Wouldn't pay more.

  • +1

Got few of them in officeworks Vermont , VIC. Still plenty left with easy price match

    • my local OW match it but need to pay extra $8 for postage. i am then ordered from TGG

  • +3

Might be able to pricematch at Bunnings too, not sure how easy their policy is compared to OW.

Read the customer review for a bonus giggle.

    • +1

Read the customer review for a bonus giggle.

Probably the one that also buys blinker fluid :)

      • I don’t know what’s more funny. The review, or the fact I bought 3 expecting to use them for my non-USB accessories. 2020 keeps on giving. 🤨
Let me know when you find a good deal on blinker fluid please.

        • Cancelled, phew!

    • Great review hahaha. Gives it a mediocre review for their mistake, makes sense.

  • I called Officeworks and got them to Price Match over the phone for C&C. Max 2 units, $3.90 for both.

  • the store I chose for C&C in TGG says no stock however in Ebay I was able to select the same store for pickup! not sure whats going on

    • +1

      most likely they'll refund

ebay store stock is not up to date

even in-store stock they can say ready to collect but never actually put it aside still out of stock

  • Can this charge laptops?

  • +1

FYI if your order went through and you got an email that says ready to collect. They can still be out of stock and will refund you.

    • I got the ready to pickup confirmation instantly after purchasing so wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even have it

  • Any Australia to India travel adaptor?

  • for those in melbourne cbd, just pricematched at OW in QV no issues.. but they added 8 bucks for delivery as there wasn't any stock in VIC. eyed one last one on shelf

  • Btw, how long do they hold things like this, if you C&C and don't go for 3 weeks?

  • -1

This is a total copy of the Korjo one I bought a few years ago. It has served me well on a few travels since then.

    • is it 2.1A for each USB port or for the whole adapter?

      • Only the lord knows

        • not really 4x2.1A i just read

      • Just picked up. Can confirm 2.1A total divided across the 4 ports.

    • It is probably the same thing with a different logo on it

    • The Korjo one: "*2.1A in any one port when only one device is being used. When a second device is added, each live port gets 1A. If all 4 ports are being actively used, each port receives 0.5A". Does the Jackson one work the same way?

      Try https://

      • genius, thanks that worked, any reason why thats happening?

  • OW price matched to $9.50 including delivery as it is not avilable as a store pickup anymore with good guys over the phone.

  • Just got a call from Morrabin TGG no stock discontinued and refund coming through. So looks like OW price match best way to go

  • its now removed from the website

  • yeah its out of stock and OW won't be able to price match

  • Does anyone want mine? I ordered one for pickup at Essendon, but I can't be bothered going to get it and I don't really need it.

  • Managed to price match at office works as well as the Europe/Bali adaptor. Next step, actually be able to get out to use them.

Just want to say hi to all the ozbargainers that are buying from joondalup store!
I just collected my order and they had a massive bag full of orders (possibly at least 30+ in the bag).
The guy asked me if it was listed on ozB and I said yes and I was surprised at how many local ozbargainers there is around me!!
