As a comparison, Aldi bring out a 50lt version about once a year for $19.99 http://offers.kd2.org/en/au/aldi/pheiu/

    • Check the mounting points, much more here. Plus quality of material, i think.

Can't speak for this one, but I bought 2 x Aldi ones a few years ago and then did 7500km around Vietnam with them on the back of a bike and nothing got wet or damaged. The bags held up really well. Not bad for 20 bucks.

No real mounting points on the Aldi ones though, I just used a strap.

ironic since i get item not found every time i try to find a special buy at Aldi

Great if i want to wait another 6 months from Aldi (July) :(

      • You don't have to. You can just buy these ones if you need them before.

        • i tried to find one, but no luck :(

    • And onthe top of that 60 days change of mind policy, and 12 months warranty love that had *2 of those brought last year still rocking …

Haha thanks! I had my 14yo boy on the back the whole time. We mostly stayed in under $10 a night accommodation over 2 months. The whole trip was pretty amazing.

      • That's the way. How many weeks?

It was 8 weeks all up. It was this story here in the link below that inspired us to do it.

I put my son in charge of maintaining the motorbike, booking accommodation, ordering meals and navigating. It was a steep learning curve for both of us! He came back with so much more confidence than before we left.
