    Amazon your move

  • So can any drone aficionados sum up the fly more bundle?
My original thinking is you just use your phone etc to control it, what does the bundle include that the average user would want?

EDIT: IF just after the Mini 2 comes down to $673.20

Ah damn, bought the $298 deal on Christmas :(

    • Same, almost tempted to try package mine up and return it, but I don't think it's worth the headache for $30.

  • Missed it.. damn

Mini 2 fly more is out of stock

  • I got the mini 2 fly more for $799.20 from anaconda price match. See recent posts.

  • Osmo 3 both sold out

  • Dam also bought action cam for $298 from Amazon. The item is already posted…any chance they will refund the difference?

    • Worth a try. More likely to refund if they actually match it.

      • Yep gave it a try…no luck unfortunately :(

  • I currently have the GoPro Hero 5. Would the DJI 4K Action Camera be any improvement over the Hero 5? I just use the GoPro for videos and occasional wide format photos.

What do you use it for? Most modern smart phones will take better shots than both of these action cams.

        Honestly, they don't.

The true flagships can give them a run for their money, but even then d-cinelike profiles are usually missing for accurate colour grading. And a lot don't offer anywhere near the 100mbps these do.

Also, their cost is upward of a thousand dollars, and usually lack the ability to swap batteries if your filming is going on for multiple hours.

Also, phones usually arent rated for drops or impact. So if you attach them to your car, mountain bike, diving gear, or anything else; usually The phone company won't honor a warranty if it breaks.

Agree with you on durability point of view but the new smartphones blow the action cams out of the water for pure photo quality.

          • +2

@dust: Very few people use action cams for photos; thats an unusual use case.

Also, as stated, up to triple the cost, and non-replacable batteries.

Not to mention external mounts for vehicles and such are quite poor for phones.

Short answer yes; long answer it depends.

The 5's smoothing is a-ok if you just want to avoid making viewers sick; also it's 2.7k footage is a nice high bitrate also.

But if you want a full 100mbps from 4k, and you want your footage to look almost gimbal smooth when handheld, the osmo is a big jump.

That said, it manages that with a very strong crop, so be aware.

I personally also find dji's audio to be amazing by comparison. Gopro is good and clear, but dji is just natural somehow.

I never tested this on a gopro; but my favorite feature of the Osmo, is that holding record, from full shut-down, has it powered up and recording in less than 3 seconds. Basically never miss a shot.

Perhaps gopros do that too; but 0 to recording in 3 seconds flat is a feature I use all the time.

This is all high praise considering im a diy drone builder and dislike DJI as a company for personal reasons.
