  why these hub/adaptor deals always "forget" to specify the most important information, the refresh rate for the 4k resolution, because 30hz is not gonna be that pleasant.

      You can use USB-C Alt mode to pass through 4K@60Hz with a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I prefer this generally. Just avoid buying the cheapest cables. Picked up some cheap ones off eBay and they had no shielding, so my monitors would flicker whenever anyone turned an electrical appliance on.

    For $40 don't expect it to be dual 4k@60hz, those kind of hubs will be over $100 easily. I have the Dell D6000 and it does 2 x 4k @60hz with a third monitor of up to 1080p@60hz.

  @OP I recently bought one from Amazon that didn't support 2x monitors with different resolutions, so if 1x monitor is 4K res and 1x monitor is FHD res, will it force both monitors into FHD res or retain 1x 4K and 1x FHD???
