  my kid got a few of these sets for christmas and he's played with them twice. mario is full of tech but its lost on todays kids… well mine anyway :(

  my 5yo loves his lego mario sets! the key is to keep pushing them to innovate with different layouts, the more expansions you have the more interesting it gets cz you can swap in and out different special areas in the course.
  maybe in time it will get repetitive and he'll also probably hit the wall of boredom with them!
