12 Month Membership $96 (90% off, Was $960) @ Noom

33
CLEANSLATE90

Another 90% off deal for Noom targeting those users that appear to have tried the program in 2020.

For this offer I might retry the service as the main thing I didn't like was the costs.

Same discount as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/595815

Note: jimbobaus linked to poor product reviews of Noom. It is recommended to pay with PayPal instead of credit/debit card for ease of cancellation.

Thanks OP. What does the annual cost become after the 90%?

    • 100%

Makes it $96.50 for the year subscription.

When I used this for a few months previously I need to comment the contact with the 'coach' feels very chatbot like and I question of there was a human interaction majority of the time.

It added a level of accountability to my diet and behaviour, but was not worth the ~ $80 per month of fees at full price. $8 per month is more palatable though.

The coach feels like a chat bot, because it is a chat bot. Noom is a tech/data/AI company, their initial pitch was solely around using machine learning to churn through data and find recommendations.

They since added some real people to their chats supposedly, but the vast, vast, vast majority of chats would be via bots still.

Good luck trying to cancel if you decide it’s not for you.

    • Wow. Any company operating like that deserves to go bankrupt

Sounds like all the weight I will be losing is from my wallet.

    • but you're still loosing weight!

  • It's basic knowledge to me. But yes after 90% off its a fair price for saving of effort to look for the info on Google.

Wow…who would have thought it was a scam.

Makes the annual sub a bit more risky. If they get hit with a huge settlement they might not be around for long

      • Looks like the huge discount is to try and get more $ from customers to potentially pay for the settlement and go bust?

Has anyone ever bought it for $960?

Can confirm Noom are dodgy. My missus signed up for the free trial, ended up getting charged for the next few months through the Apple App store. Noom said they couldn't refund and only Apple could, Apple said the opposite.

Ultimately ended in a credit card chargeback after a fair bit of stress. Could not recommend them to anyone.

  • I can't figure out where to actually enter this code. After signing up it took me through a long questionnaire and gave me a "custom" 8 month program with a custom price of $261. I can't find a place to add that promo code.
