any small 2 channel, 2 channels bridged from a 4 channel or a monoblock will power this fine

can it run stock from any unit?

        • Yes, you can run it from a stock headunit with a hi lo converter, if you purchase this item with an amplifier on the same order, ill chuck one in for free to help you out.

Just state in the comments when checking out

  • Can the rep please recommend a cheap (this is ozbargain after all), quality amp to accompany this sub? I have alpine splits at the moment that I run off the head unit and plan on keeping them there.

price is still there, is this sub any good at all?

    • +1

My brother got one, I put it in his car the other day. Only gave it a quick run but whilst it's got nothing on my bigger/dearer sub for the price it's a good option.

      • hmm any comparisons? is it worth buying, or putting the money towards something better.

        • Depends on your budget, bang for buck its good, but if you can allow more in your budget, you will get better.

depends on what amp your using to drive the woofer aswell, this sub is a low wattage sub so can be run off any small 2ch, mono or bridged 2ch from a 4 ch amp fine.

        • Similar to a $100ish Pioneer unboxed sub my brother used to have before he burnt it out (thanks to installers that thought full bass boost and gain is a good idea for an amp that's more powerful than the sub can handle). Compared to my $1200 Kicker L7/amp 750WRMS combo its got nothing, but then again if you dont want stupid amounts of bass and dont want to spend bigger $$ it's a good sub for the price.

        • What do I do if my amp has 300rms watts output, and the sub has far less?

        • Keep the gain and bass boost at a sensible level and it will be fine. It's generally accepted that its better to have a slightly higher rated amp because you've got less chance of clipping the output which causes damage more easily…

    • Its on till stock runs out, limtied left
