Ipad pro is better with 120 hz screen and quad speaker. A12x is probably better than A14?
I bought it for the 120hz screen all of these processors are OP anyway.
The pro, the A12X is an 8 core, the screen is brighter and is 120hz.
A14 has 16-core Neural Engine, that is far superior in machine learning than A12.
So how does this make YouTube better!

Another nice one for the pro is the face unlock
iPad Air has faster more secure Touch ID, and it comes with more color options.
@eddieaus: Face ID on iPad Pro feels much more natural than Touch ID on the Air.
Also the Pro has a slightly larger screen (not noticeable if you have not used both iPads).
@MSG: iPad Air is lighter than Pro. Apple will support iPad Air update till 2026, while Pro will be dropped by 2024 since it’s ancient.

where is this from? Did Apple specify that? Normally the iOS update for the apple hardware goes for years and years?@youngchul76: Yeah it doesn’t make sense, sounds like that poster is guessing that iPads lose support at around 5 years old mark. However Apple doesn’t support like that, the iPad Air 2 is still getting updates and heading towards 7 years of age. Apple seem to push out major updates as long as in their opinion the hardware is capable of running it well. It’s quite possible that the pro model would end on the same version as the Air 4 since the SoC performance and amount of ram aren’t that much different.

I would take the pro any day of the week for the 120hz, amazing speakers and face unlock.
The A14 has a slightly higher single thread performance, lower multi though. I've done side by side and you can't really notice, except everything feels more sluggish on 60hz.

Not for $900 bucks it won't.
Mini led will be nice (unconfirmed for 11" though), but its still LCD and not OLED.
M1 level of performance will be nice, not that my Pro has ever ever felt slow.
I really hope Apple will launch an iPad-Pro-design iPad mini! That would be a mobile gaming monster!
OOS and also an apple employee told me that costco isn’t an authorised retailer of apple so warranty starts from when costco buys it from their supplier and since this isn’t sold anymore its been sitting for quite a while and warranty with apple is probably already finished so the school locker is definitely a better option
didn't notice the OOS, not sure about the warranty part how true that is, as warranty with all apple products dont start until you activate the device, though you may be right if someone from Apple told you that

If your friend is saying that fib to consumers too, one of those people should report that to the AAAC. They've fined Apple for misleading regarding warranty before. I doubt your friend is saying that of his own initiate, probably an apple wide policy which the AAAC ought to investigate

Add a couple hundred for the m1. Older processors (especially the one you linked which is 7 gen intel) are trash compared to m1.
aware of that, but some might need x86 :). also, since it is brand new and old, when something plays up and need replacement, you might be lucky with a later gen one with Apple lol
Gen8 has double the core count, so gen 7 would be a very bad choice even if you need intel

Bootcamp no, probably never. But virtual machines with windows arm is getting support.
FYI I bought this last Monday and they called and said they only have the display item left. Got a refund on Friday..
Bought 2 weeks ago and they confirmed it is display stock only, please beware. One of the shop I called even said it is “unfit for sale” condition.
FYI I cancelled my order and bought the iPad Air 4 with the free airpods deal from Apple. Strongly recommend that than this iPad Pro which is on display for nearly 3 years now.

Just beware, I bought this during xmas and received a call from them saying all their models are ex-display and not brand new.
They do not put this in the order but was very prompt in calling me to telling me so, and was pretty easy with refund. So for those who want an ex-display it's fine.
Numerous people saying that this is ex-display stock. This is not stated in the OP nor the School Locker website. Dodgy on the School Locker's part to only tell people it's ex-display after they order.
