Not the cheapest it's been. Doesn't seem to have an expiry date on the price. Be nice, first post!

  • Do these or any other fitbits have LTE?

    • Nope, bluetooth & Wifi only

    • Nope

  • I think the Garmin Venu sq/sq music is better!

Having said that I hope Google helps Fitbit do something good with the Fitbit, especially around the buttons and LTE connectivity & pixel integration!!

Hesitantly bought the Garmin, would've bought the Apple Watch SE if I had an iPhone lol. Chose the Garmin due to music & buttons.

  • Does this have SpO_2 in Australia?

    • Haven't opened mine up yet, but a random googling says yes. The ECG function isn't available here yet, but apparently this can be worked around with a VPN.

      • Does it have ECG or do you mean EDA which is like a polygraph.

Google swears it won't use your fitbit data for the next 10 years.
it'll keep it, but not use it (probably) until then.
that's almost as exciting as Google+

  • Cheaper here. And can price match with Officeworks.

    https://www.onsport.com.au/store/mens/sports-technology-men/…

    • Shows at $449.96 for me when I click the link? How much did U see it for on this site?

      • Oof. It was showing as 399 yesterday. Now it's only 10% off.
I got mine with OW price match for $380

2021 and still no offline Spotify on Fitbits, kills it for me.

not rhetorical and genuine question: how much better of this than the 45 ish AUD mi band 5?

    • ECG, SpO_2, EDA

      • Are they your favourite crypto coins?

        • No, they are measurements of one's body.

  • +1

I recently returned a Fitbit Charge 4, because while it supported GPS, it did not use the collected data to calculate distance and speed when running, which it calculated (estimated) based on stride length instead. This makes it useless for serious runners wanting to measure performance/progress.

May be the same deal for this watch. Buyer beware.

    • How did you return it opened?

      • Amazon.

I told them it's not fit for purpose, because it does not use GPS data for calculating running statistics, instead giving you bogus metrics. It implies it does, and even on the Fitbit forums many mods incorrectly state it does (who are then corrected by users who observed the same as me). It's very obvious it doesn't, because when you export the data as file, the distance between coordinates does not match the distance stated.

        • Did you get a refund?

          • @deme: Of course. Otherwise I wouldn't have returned it.

  • Is it normal for Officeworks to price beat Amazon nowadays?

OP how is yours going - is the lag less pronounced with the latest firmware? How useful are the newest sensors like ECG (which I understand is not actually available in Australia but can be activated via VPN)? I need to replace my Charge 2.

  • The ECG feature is not available in Australia:
    https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/ecg

  • Price now $389. Might be worth updating the deal.
