Asus TUF with 11th Gen i7 and 240hz screen is $2699.

    I pre-ordered it just earlier.

Yours is more bang for the buck! Great price😉

    • Wow, the chassis is starting to look like a Macbook Pro.

      • +1

Yeah that’s main reason I went for it. Only 2kg and has thunderbolt with power delivery. Fingers crossed cooling is not too crap though.

    • Wow, 3070 for $2700RRP is a good sign.

This means a 3060 for the rest of us during EOFYS :)

      • +3

Yeah AMD 5800 version is even cheaper. I’m sure AMD + 3060 will be sub 2k.

        • +1

if its as good as it seems, why would anyone fork out extra for their more expensive gaming laptops.

    • I'm still debating between this (and thunderbolt/less weight) or a 5800H version. Heavier and no Thunderbolt but the CPU would make a fair difference yeah?

What made you decide on the DASH?

      • +1

I preferred Dash as it is slimmer. Only 2kg and has thunderbolt. I have USB-C monitor with power delivery so this will be perfect as it supports full DP1.4. So just one cable for monitor and power. Also Dash has 240hz panel, AMD version has 144hz.

I would say CPU are on par performance wise so it’s personal choice. Both have MAX-P version GPU so it’s not throttled like Q versions.

Asus is amongst the first one manufacturers to release models for pre-order. If you wait till after official mobile GPU release date of 26/01 you will have more options. I just needed something quickly.

Damn… why do they insist on gaming laptops having sh*t gamut. Should be minimum 100% SRGB these days. The first one has 72% NTSC so as close to 100% SRGB, second one 45% NTSC so could be anywhere between 60% through to 70% SRGB depending on calibration.

    Arghhh.

    • +1

It's because most people don't care and for those who do care, they can charge you more for the option.

  • ETA 18-23 FEB, too late for me. Got this one earlier without promotion, https://www.centrecom.com.au/msi-gf65-thin-10ue-156-144hz-i7…
    Still thanks

  • $2k, $3k and not even 17" screen… Hmmm

  • I know stock could be an issue but I'd wait on preorders. Has info or reviews on thermals etc. been released?

Just ordered the 3060 version. Been told that it doesn't come with the $200 gift card.

    Advertised incorrectly.

  • 144Hz 45% IPS Display

    What's this mean?
