      TCL and Hisense have come a long way.

      I can remember when Samsung and LG were cheap junk. My father can remember when Japanese stuff was junk. My kids may sneer at African televisions one day.

        IPS panel makes any LCD up until this year from LG doa.

      I'd take the new LG TVs over Sony anyday, I'd also take a a Q70T/Q80T over a X9000H for HDMI 2.1 too. Sony have really dropped the ball the past year.

      Any electronic devices you are using these days have some parts if not most parts made in China, so you better throw all of them away i guess..

      You will need to live under a rock, inside a hole dug with bare hands on a small piece of Crown land if you don't want to support the CCP. They're kinda involved with everything else.

    I love my Hisense but hate my 3 year old TCL. Takes ages to boot, the remote is flaky and sometimes stops working completely, software is glitchy. An all round disappointing experience.

    On the other hand, 100% recommend Hisense.
